GIVE ME LOVE (WINRINA AU)

CHAPTER 67

Winter and Jicheol are on the way to her new apartment. When they stop in front of the building, Winter stares up in awe.

"you haven't seen anything." Jicheol stifles.

"me? Live here?" Winter points at herself. "I feel like I already achieve my dream."

"I know I spoil you too much. But, I don't want you to forget about how hard it is to reach your success. I'm just giving you a little material push."

"I'm sure I'll be extra productive from now on." Winter excitedly said to him.

They walk out of the car and goes in. Winter looks around her, seeing luxurious interior and services being served. They get into the lift and Jicheol presses the button.

"really? That high?" Winter noticed it's more than 30 floors high.

"yes, I bought it. you can invite your friends if you want. It's fully yours." Jicheol smiles at her.

"what about Yoongi? Is he gonna drive for me?" Winter looks up at him.

"of course. Maybe, I can get you a car and let him teach you how to drive as well." Jicheol offered.

"no need. I can learn, but you don't have to buy me."

Not long after, the lift opens up. Winter is beyond shocked. She thought that she has to walk through a hallway like regular apartment. Turns out, they go straight to the unit.

"oh. My. God!" Winter runs inside and looks around.

It takes some time for her find the kitchen and dining room. then, she sees Karina putting down a dish on the dining table. The smell itself increased Winter's appetite.

"dinner?" Karina smiles at Winter.

Winter hugs the taller girl. Though her arm is still casted, Winter clings on her like a baby koala. She pulls away and tiptoes to kiss her.

"I miss you so much." Winter caresses her cheek. She then turns to face Jicheol again. "you wanna eat with us?"

"no, it's okay. I have... work." Jicheol refused. He thought of giving the two some alone time.

Winter smiles at him as she walks closer. She gives him a loving hug to thank him.

"I owe you a lot. Thank you so much for all you give to me."

"I love you so much, kiddo. I wish I had a daughter like you." Jicheol hugged her back.

"a dad like you would be nice." Winter chuckles.

"well, I'll be going now. Enjoy your time with your girlfriend."

After Jicheol left, Karina and Winter have their late lunch together with some light conversation.

"your cooking will never compare to those takeouts." Winter complimented Karina.

"I can cook for you every day."

"I'm not that selfish. You're busier than me and I know what happened to me took a lot of your working time." Winter looks at her.

"I would choose you over my career. Especially, when it comes to your happiness."

"you can't do that." Winter stops chewing. "I mean, why? You have a lot more important things to do than thinking about my happiness."

"I want to put you first. I can't help it." Karina feels a little sad at Winter's reaction.

"listen, love. Just being with you is more than enough for me. I will support you in anything you want to do. I just want you to not put me first on your priority list. Your career and life is more important than me."

"is it wrong?" Karina drops her utensils.

"no it's not. I worth less than your job, you make more money than me, and clearly, people look up to you more. You should think about it more."

"do you love me, Winter?" Karina folds her arms on the table, looking at Winter in the eyes. "I don't know what love means to you but I hope it's not abut how much money you have or give to your partner."

"of course, I love you. How else should I show you my love?" Winter furrowed her eyebrows.

"I don't really need your money." Karina looks down, letting out along sigh. "in fact, you don't need to give me anything."

"nonsense." Winter ended her meal at that moment. "please... ask for something. You can't just love me solely because of my existence."

"but... that's the truth. It'll be nice if you have more time with me." Karina responded.

"okay. I can do that." Winter smiles at her. "I'll make some time for you."

Winter is still working, keeping up with all the works and task she missed. It's only been three days but she has a lot to catch up on. Luckily, her friends and clients understand her. with her new 'office', Winter can work more efficiently and comfortably, of course.

"love? Are you gonna get some sleep?" Karina peeks inside the room.

"you can sleep first. You have to wake up early tomorrow, right?" Winter looks at her.

"okay." Karina sighs as she closes the door and walks back to her room.

Winter look back at the monitor, checking the time. It's past midnight and working with a cast on her arm is pretty tiring. She decided to stop working and goes to the bedroom.

Karina sees Winter walking in and joins her on the bed. Karina smiles at her as she scoots over to snuggle on Winter.

"I've always wanted to do this. I fall asleep with you and wake up next to you. That's even better than only waking up next to you." Karina closes her eyes.

"I'm sorry." Winter slips her healthy arm under Karina's head. She rubs along her arm gently.

"do you even realize that you stopped smoking?" Karina noticed.

"I didn't. now that you told me, I will keep it that way." Winter closes her eyes as well.

"it's okay if you do." Karina stifles.

"you're at it again. I wanna be better, okay?"
