GIVE ME LOVE (WINRINA AU)

CHAPTER 17

Winter already told Soobin about this hanging out with Yeji and Karina. She also told Yeji that she'll join them because apparently she's on the morning shift today.

"okay. I'll help you style yourself." Soobin told Winter at the end of her shift.

"I don't have that many clothes." Winter informed as she looks at some clothes at the clothing section.

"can you call me later? I wanna see what you got." Soobin pats her back. "just buy a perfume. If you don't look good, at least you smell nice."

"okay."

Winter is just some steps away from being ready. She's still on a call with Soobin as well.

"it's not a formal hang out right?" Soobin asked, watching Winter tidying up her shirt. "I think you're good like that."

"should I spray this all over me?" Winter held up the perfume that he recommended.

"no, no. five times max. on both of your outer shoulders, both of your neck, and on your nape. My girlfriend told me that."

"oh." Winter follows his instruction. "then?"

"move back a little."

Winter do what she told.

"perfect. Are you ready to go?"

Winter looks at herself. Just a white tee, topped with her flannel, black jeans, and converse shoes. This is the effort she can afford.

"I'll see them downstairs." Winter takes her phone. "thanks, Soo."

"anytime, Winter. have fun with your girl."

Soon enough, Winter finally gets on Yeji's car. She's at the front while Karina is in the backseat.

"today, you're coming with us." Yeji looked at Winter with a smile.

"where?" Winter asked.

"to the mall, shopping, you know, girls stuff." Yeji shrugs.

"...and you'll shop with us." Karina added. "you can buy all you want."

"okay."

First up, the three arrived at the mall. It all went well. Winter can freshen up her eyes from the things at the store she works at.

"I heard there's a sale at this store. Should we check it out?" Yeji shows her phone to Karina.

"oh my god. let's go!" Karina cheered. "Winter..." she called the girl behind them.

"yeah?" Winter averted her gaze to the two.

"we're going to this store. There's a good sale. You can buy your mom something." Karina informed.

"I think I will."

Arriving at the store, Winter immediately looks around to find some clothes for her mother. on the other hand, she thinks that her low amount of money won't b enough to spoil her mother. she already has her eyes on a dress, a skirt, and some kind of knitwear.

"do you want that?" Karina approaches her with some clothes on her arm as well.

"yeah." Winter nods. "I'll choose first. You can look around again." She added a smile.

"okay. let me know if you're ready to pay."

Winter just smiles at her and continues to look around. After she noticed that Yeji and Karina is still busy with themselves, Winter checks her bank account. She looks at the price tags and starts calculating them.

"three hundred dollars left. I can't afford these." Winter sighs, speaking to herself. She then walks back to the clothes' rack and return some of it.

"what are you doing? Those are nice." Yeji caught her. "I'll buy them for your mom."

"it's okay. I'll take this dress." Winter shows it to Yeji. "I can pay this."

"let me." Yeji gave her a serious look. "you'll make her happy."

"you don't need to, Yeji. I can-"

Yeji takes the dress and the clothes that Winter put back on the rack.

"shush... give them to your mom."

Winter follows them to the cashier. She looks at the price of their purchase, thinking that it becomes expensive because she also picked some.

"here." Yeji gives Winter her bag. "it's a good deal, way cheaper than usual."

"thank you." Winter hesitantly takes the bag. "I really appreciate it.

After going to some other shops, the three decided to fill their fuel at the food court.

"you should order a takeaway for your parents." Yeji suggested.

"I'll buy them myself this time." Winter insisted.

"fine." Yeji stifles a laugh. She then looks at Karina. "we'll look around. Can you stay here?"

"why doesn't she go with us?" Winter asked as she slowly stands up, following Yeji.

"someone will take our table. Don't worry." Yeji grabs Winter's hand and take her to look around.

"that's not nice. You didn't even ask what she wants." Winter furrowed her eyebrows, confronting Yeji.

"we're close enough, Winter. we're used to do it like this. I look for something and she'd stay at our table, vice versa." Yeji links their arms. "feel free to choose."

After some time, the three of them goes back to the car.

"since tomorrow is Sunday... and I didn't accompany you to the dinner... how about we make one more stop?" Yeji said as she starts her car.

"where? I think it's better if we don't come home too late." Winter responded.

"we won't. eleven max." Yeji reassures her.

Since this is Yeji's car and Winter thought that she's already stuck with them, she has no other choice.

"just tell her. what if she's not comfortable?" Karina moves forward in between them.

"we're going to Koreatown. We'll drink a little." Yeji sighs, opening up to Winter.

"oh, I can't drink. If you guys wanna go, I can just go home." Winter held up her two hands.

"please..." Yeji grabs her hand, begging for her to come along. "I want you to have fun." Yeji keeps looking at her. "just for tonight. we won't be drunk."

"you have a high tolerance, Yeji." Karina stated. "I'll drive later."

"I don't know guys." Winter looks down. "I don't think can come with you."
