CHAPTER 30

Winter wakes up to see her mother beside her bed. She covers her eyes since the sunlight is too sharp for her.

"don't you have any class today?" the mother furrowed her eyebrows.

"what time is it?" Winter reached for her phone. "shit." She sits up, shot her eyes open after noticing that her hone is dead.

"it's eleven. Why?" her mother patiently waits.

"I should be attending my morning class." Winter sighs, palming her forehead.

"what happened to you? this is the third time that I have to wake you up in the morning."

"I forgot to charge my phone." Winter got busy with herself, her head is too full that she ignores her mother.

"do you have another class?" she asked another question.

"at twelve." Winter stares at her phone, waiting for it to turn on.

"you're not a kid anymore. I believe that you can be more responsible." The mother sighs. "are you tired?"

"I'll take a shower." Winter looks at her. "thanks for waking me up."

Winter is on a call with Chaehyun on her break time. Soobin is there sitting beside her. initially, he wants to accompany her, but it seems like Winter is occupied enough with Chaehyun.

"hey, we gotta go." Soobin slaps her arm lightly. He's a little pissed off because she ignored her, so he walks back in leaving Winter.

Winter soon joins Soobin at the storage room. she works as usual with a little boost of mood from talking to Chaehyun.

"get that box over here." Soobin sounds rude according to Winter.

"relax, dude. What's with the attitude?" Winter brought him the box, anyway.

"I wanna tell you something but you're too busy with your call." Soobin replied while still working with the boxes and clipboard.

"oh, sorry."

"no problem. I'm happy that you moved on." Soobin pressed a smile. "I found a new place to work. I don't think I can live from this job only." Soobin broke the news.

"no way." Winter stands up straight, dropping the box that she's holding.

"her parents won't let me marry her unless I have a proper work. They did give us a blessing, though."

"you'll be in town, right?" Winter continues her work.

"sadly, no, Win." Soobin let out a long sigh. "I'm going to my fiancée's home town on a bigger city."

"damn. I can't believe I used to hate you."

"I will miss you." Soobin chuckles. "I still have some time left. Let's go out."

"don't forget to work on my videos. I'm almost late the last time."

"I'm working on it now. I have other youtubers as well. Please be patient. I'm sorry." Winter got another complain from her client.

"I hope you can be more competent. I paid you enough."

"yes, I get it. I'll send the vids to you ASAP."

He hangs up the call as Winter let out a tired sigh. She then goes back to editing some videos. She's a little pressured because there's not much time for her to finish her work. Even a smoke break would be a waste of time.

Some times after, her mother knocks on her door, soon opens it. she noticed her daughter is working intensely, eyes glues to the screen, even furrowing her eyebrows.

"Winter... maybe you should sleep." the mother approached.

"I can't. I have a lot to do." Winter rubs her eyes that are starting to dry up. "you can sleep, mom. It's okay."

"do you have a morning class tomorrow?"

"yeah." Winter glanced at her then back at the screen.

"I trust you, okay? have a rest."

Winter just nods at her. the mother then walks out of the room, letting Winter do what she does. Soon after, Winter heard her phone vibrates. She flips it and see that it's Chaehyun. She stares at it then back to her monitor for a few times.

"hey." Winter greeted, placing her phone between her cheek and shoulder. She then continues to work.

"hi. I just wanna remind you that we have a test tomorrow. It's just a short quiz." Chaehyun informed.

"hm..." Winter is getting distracted between working and listening to Chaehyun.

"hello? Are you studying?"

"yes? oh, no. I'm working." Winter responded.

"oh I'm sorry. Don't forget to study."

"okay." Winter then put down her phone. she usually let the other person hangs up first.

She glanced at her phone again, finding out that Chaehyun is still in the call. She takes her phone again.

"hello? Do you need anything else?" Winter asked.

"no. I just think that I can accompany you. I'm studying right now."

"oh, okay."
