CHAPTER 56

Karina greets Yoongi this morning at the front of the bus stop. She thought that Winter doesn't have anything to do outside since she's graduating today.

"did Winter tells you something?" Karina asked.

"yes, miss. She asked me to take you to the company." Yoongi smiles. "shall we go?"

"sure." Karina is a little confused since Winter didn't say anything earlier.

Meanwhile, Winter is already planning to hang out with her group.

Chaehyun: finally!

Chaehyun: Yeonjun will treat us

Yeonjun: you're getting brave

Yeonjun: you pay for yourself

Kai: you're mean

Chaehyun: well

Chaehyun: k

Yeonjun: hey!

Winter: you haven't graduate

Winter: 3 vs 1

Yeonjun: what does that mean?

Kai: you can pick the cheapest place

Yeonjun: f u

Winter chuckles, reading their chats. She gets ready on her desk and joins the meeting.

After the online ceremony, Winter sighs in relief. She quickly takes her phone and texts Jicheol.

Winter: I graduated

Winter: I'll hang out with my friends tonight

Winter: I hope I can spend time with you as well

Winter then locks her phone. at least, she can have more free time, a lot than before. Hopefully, she can spend more time with Karina. Winter then changes her clothes to a comfortable one.

Yoongi: I'm back from Ms. Yu's company. do you need to go somewhere?

Winter: can you come up here? Need a friend

Yoongi: right away

Winter leaves her phone on the bedroom and goes out. she takes her laptop with her and places it on the coffee table. She's not a big fan of movies but since Karina showed her how it can be fun, Winter starts to like them.

After Winter lets Yoongi in, she asks him to sit on the couch. Winter grabs some snacks and drinks from the kitchen.

"are we watching something?" Yoongi asked.

"yep. It's rare for me to have a day off." Karina sits beside him, starting to look for a movie.

"you will have a lot more in the future." Yoongi smiles at her. "Mr. Gong prepared a lot for you."

"did he?" Winter sits back, watching the movie starts. "I haven't told him about Karina."

"I see no problem in telling him."

"not yet. I still wanna live here and if he doesn't like her being my girlfriend, there's a chance that he'll take me away from here." Winter shrugs. "honestly, I still want him to give me some extra money."

"so you're saying that... you only need the money?" Yoongi wondered.

"you make it sound bad. He's like my dad, basically. I think of him like that. I just think that if he knew that I'm with a girl, he'll hate me and don't want to provide for me again." Winter looks at him. "I know you might think I'm selfish but all this time, I've been paying for things around here and I know it helps her a lot."

"she's a pretty respected person in the company. she shouldn't be here, don't you think? I've been seeing how people act around her and I can say that she's pretty respected." Yoongi commented. "I get your point by keeping this from him. have a bad experience?"

"you can say it like that."

Jicheol: hey

Jicheol: sorry I've been busy

Jicheol: do you need me to transfer some? You can treat your friends

Winter is supposed to get ready to hang out with her friends but she's too comfortable cuddling with Karina.

"I don't wanna get up." Winter snuggles on Karina's neck. "but, I promised them."

"it's hard for me to let you go with them. Don't come home too late. I have a gift for you."

"a gift?" Winter looks around. She can't see anything that resembles as a gift. "what gift."

"won't be a surprise if I tell you."

"are you sure this is the place?" Yoongi drops Winter off.

"yeah. I've been here with Wendy. just one time." Winter leans on the window. "you're gonna wait here, right?"

"of course. just call me if you need." Yoongi smiles at her.

"alright."

Winter walks into the bar. she's aware that the drinks are not that cheap here. Wendy somehow got a bottle for them back then.

"look who's late now."

Winter walks over to the source of the voice. It's Yeonjun who's already got a table for them. Winter can see Kai and Chaehyun as well. Since it's still early on the evening, there's not much drunk people around.

"have a drink. It's on me, remember?" Yeonjun smirks.

"can I have a beer instead?" Winter sits down.

"I'll order it for you. but first, you need to take a shot." Yeonjun said as he pours some on the glass. "cheers."

Winter sighs, seeing Kai and Yeonjun take their won shot. She quickly drinks the bitter cold liquid, warming up her eating tube and her body.

"phew..." Winter lightly slams the small glass on the table. "you're a wine girl." she looks at Chaehyun.

"I can't take those. It's too strong for me." Chaehyun presses a smile. "congrats, by the way."

"yeah, thank you."

"hey, it's not ethical to have only one shot. We already have three." Yeonjun shoves another drink. "go on. You gotta celebrate!"

"no. I'll stick with my beer."
