CHAPTER 69

Winter got home from her important presentation at the professor's company. She knows Karina is still at work and she wants to surprise her with a news. Now, Winter can enjoy her free time since she has nothing to do anymore. Well, she can work on those YouTube videos later.

"alright. I can wait for my baby while heading out to battlefield." Winter said to herself, referring to a game on her computer.

Winter takes off her jacket, changes her clothes, and goes to grab some snacks from the kitchen. Then, she makes herself a cup of coffee to accompany her later. After all that, she sits on her desk and turns on her PC.

"okay, let's do some warmups."

Karina walks into the apartment, takes off her heels and coat. She can hear Winter shouting and laughing inside her office. Karina shook her head and walks towards the room.

"Winter... have you eaten yet?" Karina peeks inside.

Winter doesn't reply, still focusing on her game. Karina walks in, distracting her with a sudden kiss on her cheek.

"guys... I'm gonna go AFK. We'll play again some other time." Winter takes off her headphones and face Karina. "sorry."

"hungry?" Karina tidies up Winter's hair.

"I am, but you don't have to cook." Winter looks up at her.

"you're cute." Karina chuckles. "did you order something?"

"I'm about to." Winter smiles. "what do you want?"

"up to you. I wanna shower first." Karina pats Winter's head before heading out.

Winter stretches her body, letting out a long sigh. She grabs her phone and starts ordering some food for them. while doing that, she gets out of the room and goes to the kitchen, not forgetting her empty cup.

"how's your presentation?" Karina gets out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around her body, covering up until half of her thigs.

Winter gets stunned, her face is getting flushed. She looks at Karina from top to bottom.

"okay, I'm gonna get dressed." Karina stifles, walking to the bedroom.

Winter lets her impulsive thoughts win. She follows Karina to the room, abruptly opens the door and embrace Karina's bare body.

"holy! You're scaring me." Karina put her hand on her chest. "what are you doing?"

"can I have a meal?" Winter plants a light kiss on her shoulder.

"what kind?" Karina turns her body facing Winter. "I just took a shower, love."

"I haven't." Winter shrugs.

"that's why you should." Karina stifles. She grabs the rest of her clothes and continues to dress up. "you go shower and I'll wait for the food."

"fine..." Winter pouts.

While Winter is taking her shower, Karina sits on the couch, and turns on the TV. Not long after, Karina hears the lift opens up.

"excuse me. Food delivery!" a guy called out.

"wait!" Karina jogs towards him, taking the food. "thank you."

"there's a restaurant in this building, by the way." He commented with a smile. "enjoy your food, miss."

"I'm not a picky eater." Karina chuckles. "have a good night."

The delivery mana leaves, then Karina walks towards the kitchen.

"who's that?" Winter asked before she noticed a bag of food on the table. "oh."

"damn, I wish I could see you shirtless every day." Karina looks at her up and down.

Winter places her shirt on one of the chairs.

"okay. can we eat now?" Winter sits down.

"have a seat, my lady. Your meal will be served." Karina quickly prepares the food, taking them out of the bag.

"will I get my dessert?" Winter folds her arms, leaning back on the chair.

"when did you become so bold?" Karina sits down after everything is set.

"I wanna express my feelings more. Besides... I don't have any reason to hide things from you." Winter said as she starts eating.

"oh, how's your presentation going?" Karina asked.

"right. I forgot. So... they approved!" Winter smiles widely. "now all we have to do is sit back and let the money comes in. my professor will take care of the program while me and my friends can monitor it from home. If something needs to be fixed or upgraded, but they couldn't do it, that's where we take over."

"that's amazing! How much do you own?"

"it's not a big part of the company so we divided it seventy to thirty. The company is just a place for us to start and my professor is really supportive."

"you can have your own company as well. Maybe Jicheol can help you." Karina suggested.

"yeah, we'll see about that. If it's successful enough, I might cut the tie and have a bigger project with my friends." Winter smiles a little, thinking about the future. "other than that, maybe we can be a family."

Karina chokes on her drink. She didn't think that Winter would think about that.

"are you okay? I was just thinking. We still have time to plan that." Winter got shy. "a lot of time. We can take our time."

"I'm okay with that. Totally okay."
