▪︎Xena's pov:

My skin tingled as his lips pressed against the back of my shoulder, leaving small kisses. I slowly started to wake up, opening my eyes.

"Good morning," I heard him say in his morning husky voice.

"Morning," I murmured.

I tilt my head back to look at his face. He was laying on his side with my back pressed against his front and his arm was wrapped loosely around my waist. His hair was messy but his face looked fresh.

"Why do you look so fresh early in the morning?" I asked him.

"One of us has to look good," He smirked.

I gasped, elbowing his stomach.

"I'm kidding, I'm kidding." he laughed as he tightened his grip and leaned to kiss my head.

"Seriously though, why are you awake so early? It's Sunday. " I inquired curiously.

"Just glance around your bed," he replied briefly. Raising an eyebrow, I rose on my elbows and my eyes widened when I saw a few piles of white notes scattered around my room.

"What the heck? What is this?"

"A few notes from Silas. One of the piles is for me and the rest is for you... Yes, I checked." Elijah replied.

If he sent so many notes, it must be important. Silas doesn't know that Elijah was with me so when he sent his candle notes to Elijah, it all appeared here in my room.

"Did he say why he wants us?" I asked Elijah.

"Yeah, I need to go by the border, and for you, he just says to meet him in his library." He answered.

I sigh leaning back on my bed.

"It's Sunday for fuck sake," I murmured.

Elijah chuckles, "I don't think monsters have schedules where they don't attack on Sundays... And I doubt the Witch took a day off to chill with some frog soup. "

"Shut up," I grunted.

"Fine, I'm leaving." He pulled the blanket off him and he climbed out of bed. He was in his white boxers.

"Used me for pleasure at night and reject me the next day," I commented dramatically.

He deadpans looking at me.

He open his mouth to talk but then he closed it and thought about something for a few seconds, "Actually, you used me last night and now you are kicking me out of your room."

"I did not, "I argued.

"Well, neither did I," he added.

"If you say so..." I trailed off with a shrug. I'm just kidding.
