▪︎Xena's pov:

We regrouped in Dad's office.

Unfortunately, again, none of us had any good news.

"The monsters just keep on coming, we killed so many yet it feels like they multiplied," Elijah commented.

"And they are not the normal monsters, they have venom with them... We don't have any remedies for those venoms." Clayton added.

"The main source is Dhalia. We need to get to her to end all of this." Percy pointed out.

"That's exactly what she wants... She wants us to come to her in her entourage. She knows if she comes here, she'll be outnumbered." Dad spoke with a sigh.

"Yeah but unfortunately, we don't want her here either. If she comes, it will be total chaos... We have children under our roof with their parents seeking protection. We can't bring Dhalia or any monsters on this land." I explained.

Dad nodded," I know."

"We should go to her," Rio talked making all of us look toward him.

"That's too dangerous..." Dad trailed off.

"Not if we prepare well," Silas added, agreeing with Rio.

"Exactly, we can use the soil on the unclaimed land and trace her exact location. Once we get it, we snuck out from the back, head to her, and deal with her once and for all." Rio suggested.

"It won't be that easy." Dad points out.

"Nothing comes easy Dad, but we need to find a way. There are a lot of lives at risk including her unborn baby. We can't wait for too long." Rio insisted.

Dad thought about it. He glanced at me before slowly nodding his head.

"Okay fine, get her location, and then we will go together," Dad told him sternly.

"Okay," I agreed.

I felt Elijah going stiff beside me, making me glance at him. Once everyone's attention was diverted to something else, he quietly walked out.

I furrowed my eyebrows.

Glancing at everyone in the room and seeing that they weren't paying attention, I walked out to Elijah.

"Hey," I grabbed his arm and stopped him.

He turned to me but this time his eyes were dark emerald green.

"What's wrong?" I asked him.

He opened his mouth to talk but he stopped himself and shut his mouth. He clenched his jaw and let out a groan.

He seemed frustrated by something.

"Elijah..."

"You have no idea how badly I want to take you to a room and locked you inside. I feel the need to protect you and our baby... And when you agreed to go to Dhalia, I was forcing myself to stay quiet. I know you are independent, strong, and powerful and I understand that but it's hard..." he let out.
