▪︎Xena's pov:

It was 9 p.m. and I was walking into the woods, trying to find Silas. I wasn't using a flashlight as I didn't want the werewolves patrolling nearby to catch a glimpse of my light and approach me. Instead, I let my tribrid side take over and used my gold shining eyes to look through the dark.

I found him sitting on a tree trunk with a flashlight and a book in his hand. He was reading something in the book.

I walked quietly and went behind him.

"Boo!"

"MOTHERFUCKER!"

He jumped off the trunk landing on his ass.

I laughed, holding my stomach.

"Seriously?" he asked scowling as he stand up.

He grabbed his book and his flashlight.

"What is this book?" I inquired curiously as I sobered from my laughing.

"It's an old map about witches gathering. There is one place here that we need to head to, I'm sure we'll have a witch there," he explained.

Oh.

"Let's go then."

We walked for a good thirty minutes deep in the wood. I could have used my super speed to reach quicker but unfortunately, Silas doesn't have this power.

I heard a distant sound making me stop.

With my glowing gold eyes, I looked around us.

So far nothing.

"Silas, turn off your flashlights. It'll be safer for us. " I told him.

He listened to me and turn it off.

"The cave should be here, I can't see a thing," he murmured.

But I could see a silhouette of a cave hidden by some trees.

"I see it."

I grabbed his wrist, guiding him as I walk ahead. A guy was standing by the entrance of the cave. He looked big and muscled. Silas stayed hidden while I creep behind the guy and snapped his neck.

His body fell lifelessly.

"Nice one," Silas commented.

We walked inside and stopped by a corner to hide behind the rocks.

I used my hearing and listened. I could hear four heartbeats and someone was whimpering.

"There are four people," I whispered to Silas.

"Go ahead, I'll cover your back," he whispered back and I nodded.

I walked past the rock pile and soon the cave was getting brighter as there was some fire stick on the wall.
