▪︎Xena's pov:

Things got worst.

My pregnancy news was the only good thing that we heard before all bad news started to arise.

Within the next 24 hours, everything started to manifest. Packs and clans were getting attacked randomly by hell-world monsters and some of those monsters even took over a few forest areas around us.

Parts of the forest were under flames.

The sky was cloudy.

The wind got strong.

The lake was dried up.

The air was smoky.

The land was the only thing that wasn't acting up.

Adia was able to put the black powder around us before the hell-world monsters approached us and it was the only thing keeping us safe.

The monsters were repeatedly trying to break the barrier with their powers but thankfully the barrier held up well. However, by the pressure that they were constantly hitting, we all could tell that it wasn't going to last for too long.

Elijah and a few warriors had to step out of the barrier and lead the monsters to the main border which was a good meters away from our area.

I wanted to join him but my brothers and I had to help the nearby packs and clans.

We saved two packs already and one of them lost their Alpha. Despite the Luna being heartbroken, she was able to lead the warriors on the battlefield.

A lot of their warriors were hurt, leaving their pack vulnerable so Dad let them shift into the main building in one of the big halls. The twin and a few of their friends were helping the pack to move and they would be staying with them as reinforcement.

After the second battle, I got a candle note from Aida telling me to come to the library urgently.

Using my speed, I reached there in a second.

"Yes?" I asked, making my presence known.

Both Roselia and Aida were working together on something and they shifted their attention to me.

"Your dad told me about a magic spell that he wanted me to perform on you and I got it," Aida informed me.

I raised an eyebrow.

"What spell?"

"Oh, it's a protection spell for your baby," she answered as she gestured for me to lie down.

"What are the effects that it will bring?" I asked her skeptically.

"There is no after effect, the spell will only hide the baby's heartbeats and smells. No one will be able to harm the baby, it would be as if you aren't pregnant." She elaborated.
