Give up, and you'll win

"I love competitions!" I used to say that. Well, Aries things.

It is thrilling to be hailed as the victor against all the odds. To be the best among the rest by that criteria set by the society. But the glory ang happiness it brings only lasts for a moment.

Lahat ng pagod mo, parang wala na. Drained down the toilet bowl. Okay fine, nakuha ko na gusto ko. Bye.

It seems like everyone is busy hustling and achieving things. Flexing their masters, their plans to go to law school, med school, taking civil service exams, and  applying to government positions , to be promoted to the next higher position, etc.

Would it make me smarter? What's the point? I can read more books to learn. Learning at school isn't fun at all for me. boring and aksaya sa pera. siguro ang merit na makukuha ko sa masters ay pangyabang sa resume at dugtong sa dulo ng pangalan. Kdot.

So what's the point?

A friend of mine said, Leos do not need to compete. They are not competitive because they stubbornly believe and claim that they are the best. The symbol for Leo afterall, is the Lion: the king of the jungle.

It makes sense. While others feel the need to compete and actually fight for the throne, a King does not need to prove himself that he is the king. When he was elected, no one questions if he is really the king. His identity is absolute. He seats right at his throne with his crown. No arguments. No questions. No announcements. When he walks, the people just part ways and make ways for him. He does not need to tell that he is the king para lang tumabi ang mga tao.

He is the king. Period.

I dropped almost everything.

I have nothing to prove now. Treating others as competitors, and seeing life as a competition is only for those who have yet something to prove to the world. I don't need to prove anything.

I already declared myself as the winner.

Suot ko na ang korona. It's useless for you to compete. No one can compete with the king.
