Yesterday was our oathtaking. A senator was invited to deliver his message for us, the inductees. Do you want me to mention his name?

Well, I'll be bold then. The name is  Bong Go. Yes, a senator close to our president.

Unfortunately, he wasn't able to attend the ceremony because according to the speech he had his representative read, he is busy taking part on national affairs, tho it was not specifically mentioned kung anong klaseng national affairs ba yun.

Of course, why would we believe something not stated directly without evidence?

But what happened next irritated me, and some guests who are aware na namumulitika na naman sila.

Tapos na ang eleksyon. Hindi naman campaign time pero bakit may nangangampanya pa rin? Imbis na mensahe at pagbati ang naririnig ko, parang mas marami pa yung pabida tungkol sa mga nagawa ni Bong Go.

Tsk. I was beyond disappointed.

I was disgusted.

Anong klaseng mga lider ba Ang iniluluklok natin sa taas? Mga pabida at pasikat lang!

That was our oathtaking. That day was supposed to be ours. Messages should inspire us, and remind us of our duties, of our advocacies. But he stole the spotlight unto dirty politics.
