Is there really a freedom?

I tried to philosophize the answer to this question that popped-up on my head.

I thought, children looks up to the adults. They want to
"freely" enjoy and play and do whatever they want with less supervision of their parents or guardians.

They want to buy this toy.

They want to play more at the streets.

They want to spend until 10 pm to play tagu taguan or patintero to their neighbors.

But they can't. Because their parents would not allow it.

In return, children wants to become an adult. They want to grow up as fast as they can so that, that helpless child, could now do something as an adult.

Then, paradoxically, when we became adults, we acquire that freedom to travel anywhere we like, some even go home the next morning, sleep overs are also allowed, we could spend the money because we earn it.
But, we want to turn back time. We want to become a child again because a child, has no freedom to do what she wants. She is limited by her parents. Yet, she carries no responsibilities. She is carefree and happy. She doesn't have much problems because she only learned simple things. She is simple minded. No more, no less.

Absolute freedom is just an illusion.

In reality, we cannot do whatever we like to do. There is always a limit. There is always a rule that bounds our behavior.

Because if absolute freedom is true, then it would mean that I could kill any people I hate.
I will go to mall naked and no one would judge me.
I can fly and reach the stars.
I could dress cosplay at school.
Yeah.
If we define freedom as the right to do what we want, then, I believe you are delusional.

Wake up.

We acquire a certain type of freedom because we are held liable and accountable about it.

We cannot have freedom without compromise. Lahat may kapalit. So you see, wala talagang freedom na as in super Malaya ka at walang babalik sayo na negative.

When you're free, you will carry a burden along the way. Each of us have.

Syempre Hindi diba?

Children are free to be happy. To be naive. To not worry. But, they carry the burden of not being able to decide on their own.

In contrast, adults are free to decide on their own but cannot enjoy to their hearts content because they are liable of being present at work, performing tasks, they decide on their own so Pag nagkamali sila sa decision, syempre kasalanan din nila.
