Is this enough?
Baka may mali-mali pa 'to.
Teka lang. Dagdagan ko ba? O ibabawas ko 'to?
Being a perfectionist is not bad at all, if you ask me. Who would prefer something with a lot of loopholes and errors? Yes, some people can tolerate it, and don't mind. But if they were to choose between the neat or dirty? Imperfect vs. Perfect?
They would still choose neat and perfect. You and I will both also choose that.
If our mindset is "Tama na yan.Ang importante, nakatapos.", We will always just stop right there. After finishing an output, okay. Yun na yun. Walang improvement. Stagnant.
Ang tamad ng mindset na yan.
After a long day and after you sacrificed sleep, eat, and time, well, Tama na. Nakatapos na ako is okay for today. I will rest and continue tommorow. I will check for errors, possible improvements, and polish this work if mine. Because this is mine. Mine.
What goes into my output somehow reflects me. If I improve my craft, it goes to show that I am dedicated and passionate about it.
Kapag perfectionist ka, sasabihin ng iba na OA ka. Well, Kung may time pa naman at pwede pang pagandahin, bakit hindi? Kung may mga Mali, bakit di itama?
What's wrong is criticizing people for being imperfect and not helping them to be perfect (at least in your eyes) and failing to recognize your imperfections and make an effort to improve them.
We all prefer beautiful things, so it's natural to strive for perfection and beautification.
However, it is important to note na perfection differs for each situation and person. And we are all aware that no one and nothing is perfect except God.
So what do we do? We simply strive to be better and better each day. Appreciate your improvement. Make it a motivation further. To live a better life. To be your better you.
If we can't be perfect, we can be near perfect. Perhaps, 9/10?
