Lost In The Jungle

Never in my life have I seen water look like this. The sky was lit up with bright stars and the water was glowing. And I mean glowing. It was a light blue and you could see some of the fish glow in the dark along with corals on the bottom. Almost like the waterfall we found.

Out in the water was another small island Blue had told me it was where they store extra boats. The beach had a nice set up to. There was a bonfire with a few seats and a couple of big logs, each with a blanket. Over a little was a table full of some snacks. Everything was lit up with mason jars filled with lighting bugs.

"We have s'mores" Rose interrupted my thought by getting a plate off the table "want some?"

I followed her over and sat on the ground in-front of the long with Travis sitting beside me. I left my towel on one of this dinner tables so he wrapped us up with a red blanket. I kicked off my shoes and threw them to the side, Travis doing the same.

Across from us on the other log say Edwin and Drey starting to roast marshmallows. The right sat Rose and Blue in chairs. Rose one piece being red and Blue wearing plain blue trunks "y'all's bathing suits are cute"

"Thank you"

"Awe that's so sweet of you"

I looked over at Travis who gave me the side eye, I only scooted closer to him bringing my knees to my chest. He got out some marshmallows and put a few on a stick for me and one for him.

As we were making s'mores Yuki came running with some beers and Z after him with more "we got alcohol"
Yuki yelled passing out some white claws. I denied it same for Travis and Drey.

We've drank before but Drey couldn't hold down two beers before throwing up and Travis just didn't like the taste. I was a light weight, got drunk easily. Plus I just never cared to cause I was scared to turn out like my mom.

I started to eat my marshmallows after blowing on them to cool off and Travis was making a s'more sandwich "want a cracker?" He offered

I took it and put a marshmallow onto and smeared it like mayonnaise on bread. Drey already ate two was know on his third one with chocolate all over his mouth.

"Want a Hershey bar Dawn?" Z answer sitting down beside Yuki who were to our left

"No thanks. I'm allergic to chocolate"

With that everyone yelled 'what' while me and the boys continued snacking on the goodies "are you joking around?"

"Who's allergic to chocolate?"

"So you've never had chocolate?"

"She would have had to, to know she was allergic, duh"

Drey stood up stretching "guys she had chocolate a few times and every times she does we have to take her to the emergency room cause she blows up like a ball fish" he stated

"Puffer fish" I corrected him

"Same thing" he waved off to me "wanna go for a swim Edwin"

They left to go for a swim only for me to be left with four people looking like they've seen a ghost. I finished my cracker and grabbed Travis hand knocking his s'more into the sand "my s'more" and whined quietly

"Let's go swim Travis"

I took off my sweats and dragged a whinny Travis behind me. The rest of the crew following behind us. I deeper my feet in to realize Rose was telling the truth. It wasn't cold and wasn't hot, but a perfect warmth.

"Told ya" Rose said running into the water with Yuki behind her. Blue then stopped beside Travis putting his feet in as well. I looked behind me to see Z slowly walking towards us.

"Can't swim?"

He looked shocked "how'd you know?"

I shrugged "you didn't wanna come at first and you don't look to happy"

Travis was deep in conversation with Blue while me and Z walking about a little further. I stopped thigh deep but to him it was at his knees "when I was little I went on a camping trip with friends. We were at the pier and I fell in trying to catch a fish. At the time I knew how to swim but didn't know how to control my powers"

"One of my friends went in after me to help me get out and I started to panic and I sent and electric shock through the lake causing him to go into a seizure"

"I'm sorry. You don't have to finish" I could tell it upset him, he just gave me a small smile

"From there on I've been on the run with my dad because people found out what happened. I've learned to control it so don't worry, I won't shock you" he laughed

"I'll teach you how to swim"

"Really? I mean I know how it's just-"

"I get it. You know how but after a while you tend to not know where to start" I felt the same way with driving. He nodded, I grabbed his hand and walked further into the water. I could feel his hand tightening.

The water was just below my top and was at his belly button "so here's what your gonna do" I started but got pulled back by Drey

"I'll teach you Z. Dawn isn't even a good swimmer"

"Am too"

"Are not"

"Am too"

"Are no-"

"Guys!" Blue barged in the middle of us "your making him even more nervous"

I looked over to see we were. I then fell silent feeling bad for him, I looked over at Drey giving him the tongue only to be splashed in the face with water.

"Enough you two" Rose now coming over with Yuki behind her on his tippy toes. I tried my best not to laugh because he was so short. He notice slashing water in my face.

"Yuki splashed water in my face for no reason" I snitched to Rose, my now dry hair soaked in water

"She was laughing at me" Yuki said In defense

"Why does he get yo splash her and I can't" Drey wined to Rose

"Children please" Rose groaned

"You deal with this everyday?" Blue asked Travis

Travis sighed scratching his neck "it's a full time job" with that both me and Drey started splashing him with water.
