We were here. Standing in front of Travis house. We got lended a car to drive and drove to Dreys first, but Travis broke down in the road.

Drey knowing his friend was so close to his mom that he decided that we should just visit her first. His house looked the exact same. The lawn was kept up, no mail piled up like when his father had passed away.

We knew she was home since her car was in the driveway. We were at the door, waiting for someone to knock.

"Do you want us to wait in the car?"

"No! Please. Stay with me"

We stood behind Travis. Giving him sometime. He had calmed down after a few. His eyes still puffy from crying, he held up his hand and knocked three times on the door. A soft 'coming' was heard from inside.

I looked down feeling Drey grab my hand. I moved closer to him for comfort. Just then the door swung open.

There she was. Travis mom. She opened the door confidently with a smile. Once she had laid eyes on Travis her smile slowly went away. Travis froze not knowing what to do, all we could hear wore his sniffles.

"Oh my baby boy!" She cried pulling him into a tight hug.

Tears broke through her eyes. Cry's came out her mouth as she was happy to see her son. Travis bent down in her arms, holding her tightly. Saying he was sorry over and over.

She pulled back holding his face in her hands. Wiping his tears away, only to be replaced by more, she smiled taking in the fact her son was in front of her.

"Oh my handsome boy! Oh how have I missed you so much baby!"

"I missed you too mama"

She pulled him in for a hug again. The smile not leaving her face this time. Drey now having a smile instead of a nervous face. He looked at me and we high five knowing everything would be okay.

Just then we were pulled by the arms. Joined in on the hug. We four stood at the door step hugging for a good five minutes. No one caring to let go. Just happy to be here.

"Come in kids, come in"

We walked in follow her into the kitchen. She sat us down making us a glass of water. Travis has yet to stop crying. I grabbed his hand that was laid on the table and he quickly to mine into his.

"There's so much to tell you" Drey said to the lady who sat down beside her son. Rubbing his shoulder, she looked over at Drey. The smile still had yet to leave her face.

"Tell me later. Get some rest kids. I'll call-"

"No mamma, listen. Please"

She looked over at Travis. She could tell he was serious. She nodded her head ready for him to continue. I pulled my hands away, Travis grabbing hers. Rubbing soft circles on her hands.

"You know how long you've been gone for boy?" She quietly said

"I know mamma. What I'm about to say is going to sound crazy, but I need you to believe me"

"I've never seen you like this. Begging I mean. You could start with the scars baby"

Travis lightly laughed at his mom, "funny story actually. I got struck by lightning and gained healing powers. That's why I have these scars"

"And the cool hair too" Drey mentioned, but then went quiet when she gave him a look

She looked over at me next and I just smiled at her not knowing what to say or do. She then looked at Travis who had a serious face. For a moment I couldn't tell if she was going to scream at him, but she started to laugh.

"Boy! You've been gone for months and you come to tell me you have superpowers!" She yelled, there it is

"Mama ple-"

"Don't you mama me"

She continued to ramble on when Travis got up grabbing a kitchen knife. We all froze when we saw him put it up to his arm.

"Now what you're about to see is-"

"Just do it dude!" Drey yelled

Travis then cut inside his arm, from the inside his elbow down to his wrist. His mom screaming at the top of her lungs. Drey and I having to cover our ears. But she soon went quiet as she watched the opened wound, close completely shut.

"H-How?"

"And Dawn can walk through stuff. Show her Dawn?"

"Why you gotta put me on the spot like that?" I asked Travis standing beside him

"Oh come on you can do it"

I sighed closing my eyes. Hearing Drey shush Travis mom just as she was about to speak to help me concentrate. I just know she gave him a nasty look. Thinking about her making a funny face, I tried to hold back my laughter.

"Oh my god!" I heard her scream. I opened my eyes to see I had done it. I moved my arms seeing there were more than one, like I was glitching. I then walked around the kitchen. Through the island, and through the walls.

"Nice job" Travis whispered giving me a thumbs up

Looking over I notice how stressed she had looked. I calmed down and stopped what I was doing. Travis noticing, he bent down in front of his mom.

"Please listen to us know?"

She shook her head. Grabbing a glass of water she excited out the kitchen and into the living room. She sat in the recliner while we sat on the couch.

"So you know those people who have been making those videos? The ones Drey was obsessed with?"

She shook her head yes after a few moments of thinking "the ones who escaped prison"

"Uh yeah them. Anyway, Drey found them and we went to go see them. Well they kidnapped us and took us to an island. Come to find out, everyone there is super cool and they all have powers. Like me and Dawn-"

"Does Drey have powers?"

"Not yet miss" Drey sadly said, I rubbed his back and he rested his head on my shoulders

"We've become good friends with everyone. They are basically family to us. We have jobs there, I help take care of people ma! I'm currently learning how to do surgery, not that it's needed, but I'm learning it from a good friend named Rose. They have treated us so well. I know it's been a long time, and we should have come back home sooner but, if you were there you would realize just how much everything means to you there" he explained, and he explained real good

"But baby" she started to cry "I'm your mother. You don't know how much I have missed you. What I've been through"

"I know mama and I am so sorry. I truly am. For the first few months we weren't allowed to leave, for their safety, afraid we would go tell everyone about them. After so long and building relationships with these people, we gained trust with one another"

A few hours later she had calmed down and Travis continued to tell her more stories. Told her about every person, what the place was like, even about the lurker.

She promised not to call the law or any other family member after seeing and hearing everything. Drey and I decided to leave the next morning and go see his parents next.

We convinced Travis to stay longer with his mother, letting him know we could meet up later since we had a couple of days here left.
