"Here Dawn" Drey said throwing me a green jacket with a fur hoddie

I looked closely to see it was my jacket I lost weeks ago "you've had this the whole time?"

"Yeah. I kept forgetting to give it to you"

I put on my green jacket that has a fur hood and looked at myself in the mirror. I nodded, glad it matched my outfit. I had on a cream colored turtleneck sweater with black, skin tight jeans that were rolled a little above my ankle. I had my height top Van's down near the door where I left them.

Travis had on black Jean's and a white tshirt with a north face, rain jacket. Drey on the other hand decided to wear all black so he could 'be a ninja'. It was chilly out, but not super cold.

Drey tossed me a light brown leather book bag "what is this? It weighs a ton" I complained

Drey tossed a dark blue one to Travis and he then put on a black one "it has supplies in it"

"Dude, we look stupid" Travis said putting on the book bag

"Its for survival" Drey said walking out.

Travis and I followed "you act like we are going camping"

"It has water, food, maps, a compass and more things"

I looked at Travis who just shrugged. We went down stairs to see Dreys mom and dad watching TV "mom, dad, we are going out for a few"

They turned around and looked at us weirdly "going camping?" Dreys father asked jokingly

Mrs.Whitlock squealed and got up quickly "let me get my camera, you three look adorable"

Drey smiled widely and pulled me and Travis in for a big hug. We all said cheese and took more pictures.

"Adorable" Mrs.Whitlock cried "getting so big"

"Awe mom" Drey hugged her

"You all have your phones right?" They asked

We all replied with yes and then went on are way. We all got on our bikes and went to the abandoned town. Our town is small, holds less than two thousand people.

We had a town near us named 'Pikes Villella Town'. They always had the circus and zoos their everyone would visit. A little over eight years ago they got shut down because of a chemical spill.

Everyone in that town moved to another state, some refused to leave their home so they forcefully got removed. It was only a twenty minute car ride there, so it wouldn't take long riding bikes.

We were almost there when my phone started ringing. I yelled out telling them to stop so I could see who it was. I looked at the caller ID to see it was my mom.

"Its probably her boyfriend Chad" Travis joked

I rolled my eyes "He isnt my boyfriend"

"That's what they all say" Drey joked

I answered the phone "where are you?" My mother ask before I had the chance to speak

"I'm with Drey and Travis"

"Get home now young lady or you are grounded" she screamed. I pulled my phone away from my ear and looked over at Travis to see him mouth "is she on her period?"

I laughed "I dont think it is funny Dawn! Get your ass home now!"

I thought for a moment "I'll be home later" then hung up

"What a bitch" Drey rolling his eyes earning a hit from Travis who sighed "you okay Dawn?"

"Why wouldn't I be?" I smiled knowing what he meant by that. My mom was a drunk, she never went a day sober after finding out my dad cheated on her with her sister. There were times I felt bad for my mom and held her when she cried for dad. Then there were times    I knew she needed to get over the fact dad cheated on her three years ago.
