I hugged the jacket tighter and moved closer to Chan. The rain wasn't bad, but it was still lightly drizzling out.

Luckily, some of the huts out on the beach had blankets or curtains over them from the previous people who had hung out. It helped stop us from getting wet and also helped the wind not blow into our faces.

Waiting and watching everyone in the tent eat for almost an hour. I was told by Zero and Yuki, who popped in and then left, that Chan was setting up an area outside.

I told the two boys to grab Chan and come back to the tent. Not to worry about eating out. Yuki just ignored me and left to go help Chan while Zero said it was good to get some fresh air.

Understanding why it took an hour to set up. I wasn't disappointed. The huts were set up already along with a table and cushions around.

Chan had set up jars of lights everywhere so it wasn't so depressing out. There was a table full of food, which I was not complaining about since everyone else only had a plate.

He also brought multiple blankets knowing I'd be cold since I was still sick and in shorts. I was told by Chan he hung up blankets on the back of the hut so the sand wouldn't fly into our food.

I brushed that off knowing it was a little lie. Seeing he didn't look me in the eye and the wind was blowing the other way. I bet he just didn't want people seeing us from behind.

"Are you warm enough? I have more blankets" Chan said holding up a stack of blankets

I laughed at his face as he asked his question. His eyebrow raised and his eyes almost popping out like he had just heard some news.

"I'm okay" I said looking down at the already three blankets wrapped around me. That he insisted I have so I wouldn't get sick. Even though I already was.

Even though it was stormy out, it was still nice and peaceful. The waves were rough and weren't there normal glowing color.

Instead it looked like any beach you'd go to. It looked scary almost, I wouldn't get in it. You wouldn't even see your ankles. Anything could get you.

It was dark out and only a few starts were out. The moon light was shining through the clouds creating a dim light "have you guys gone out any? To find any more buildings"

"Nope" he said, finishing his rice "last time we went out were to get the files. Blue said to give it a couple of weeks till you two are fully recovered"

"I like going out"

"You do?" I hummed in response looking over at him, wrapping my arm with his "I enjoy it too. But now I'm going to worry every time we go"

I smiled softly "ah, don't worry too much. Travis and Rose are smart. I'm sure they'll figure something out"

I'm sure they will. Even though they aren't scientists. They have files and they can get the equipment they need to maybe make a vaccine. Or maybe everyone's powers here could kill the germ if they were to ever get it.

"Still" he said bringing me closer to him as I rested my head on his chest, "I just want to make sure you're okay is all"

I couldn't help but smile. I really liked Chan and was glad he came to the island. Even though Travis was always there for me and showed me compassion. This was different.

"Oh! I have something for you"

He turned around and began to search through a box he had brought to the beach. Hearing him curse to himself were it was and calling himself an idiot if he had forgotten it.
