Lost In The Jungle

Edwin, Drey, Chan and I were all hanging out at the beach. There was not work that needed to be don't for me and Chan so Blue said to just take the day off.

Edwin and Drey have yet to take their second day of the week off, so Edwin decided to have a little get together at the beach.

Edwin invited Travis and Ivy also but they have yet to arrive yet. I am assuming Travis slept in like always, or he woke up early, got ready and went to go eat breakfast with Ivy.

Chan had brought breakfast over earlier and we ate in my tent while I got ready. Chan in his usual black trucks, and I decided on another dark green bikini. Just a different style this time.

Edwin and Drey being the cutest couple on the island, came wearing matching trucks. They were a baby blue with pink flamingoes holding little margaritas.

Me and Chan were laying on our stomachs, facing one another playing Yut Nori which is a Korean board game. Chan had found it in a bin full of other games while we were decorating his tent.

He claimed he was the best when it came down to the game. I have yet to still understand the full rules. I get the stick part, but he some how has been taking all of my tokens. I think he has honestly been cheating a little.

"Sorry we're late" Ivy said jogging up to the group who honestly didn't pay much attention to the two. Ivy not really carrying laid out her towel and padded the spot beside her for Travis.

"Ugh I swear I think your cheating"

"I am not" Chan laughed at my frustration

"I just don't get it" I said throwing the sticks up in the air. One landing on Chans head making him say a little 'ow'. I laughed at his cuteness and moved three spaces

"It would be better if we had more players"

"I'll play!" Ivy jumped up coming over to us

I got up on my knees stretching "oh man if only you got here sooner. The game just ended" I lied looking over at Chan who just rolled his eyes at me. I quickly flicked his forehead so Ivy wouldn't see his actions

"Oh dang" she said sadly but soon replaced it with excitement "let all get in the water. Let's go Travy"

"Yeah Travy. Let's go get in the water" Drey said in a high pitch voice mocking Ivy. We both laughed earning a flicked to the head from Chan and Edwin

"Oh come on, it was funny" I whispered

"I just wanted to flick you back is all" Chan laughed back

"Before you guys go we have something to announce" Edwin said stopping Ivy and Travis

Edwin and Drey both stood up. Hand in hand. A huge smile on both of their faces. I already knew what was coming and it was about time they announced it.

"We're getting married!"

"What!" We all yelled

Drey waved us off  "just playing. We're a couple"

"Wow. Everyone act surprised!" Travis said with a fake gasp afterwards. Getting a glade from Drey, Ivy jumped up and down congratulating the two.

"That is so sweet. I hope to find love like you two one day" she said looking over at Travis. Both stopping and staring at each other.

"I'll bet you a chicken leg Travis is gonna trip and fall" I whispered to Chan

"Oh no. A chicken thigh Travis is going to freak out" he had bet back

Both of us on the edge of our feet watching the two, waiting for their next move. Drey and Edwin got creeped out and already left to the water. Ivy now leaning in towards Travis-

"Well l-let's head t-to the water now" Travis stutter starting to walk the other way but when he realized, he awkwardly laughed and fast walked towards the water.

Ivy standing there confused on what just happened. She looked over at us, Chan looked up at the sky and began to whistle and I got down on my elbows, butt up in the air, and started counting the pieces of sand.

Hearing her sigh, I looked up to see her walking off towards the water "you owe me a chicken thigh"

"Whatever" I groaned now upset I'll have to give up some food.

I looked over my shoulder to Chan to see he was staring at me. Not my face or my back, but my butt.

"Hey I see you!"

"W-What?" He snapped out of his trance, jumping up stumbling a little "I-I'm going i-in the w-water"

He took off in the water, tripping on his way in. I laughed at followed after him. Usually I would be scared to go in the water in case there was a shark, but I have yet to see one.

Drey and Edwin were on some floats that were tied up near the dock so people could float down the water. Ivy was on top of Travis shoulders while he was spinning her around.

I was chest deep when I finally caught up to Chan. I splashed him in the face for leaving me and he splashed me right back.

"Are you planning on staying here?"

I bent down to get my shoulders wet "that was random. Why do you ask?"

"Oh um, I don't know" he shrugged

I could tell there was a reason behind it. Maybe he planned on staying here for good and maybe since we've become so close, he was scared I'd leave.

"I don't know. I really like it here" I truthful responded, I gave him a little push "why do you ask?"

"Well I plan on staying here I think, since I have no where else to go. I was asking you cause I don't want you to go"

I smiled at his response. We were now a little deeper in the water. I bent down and got my hair all wet. I looked up at Chan who seemed to be nervous.

"I've always wanted to be a race car driver. Who knows if that'll happen. I know here that won't. But if Anastasia and Ivan are my real parents I think I will stay"

"What if they're not your parents?"

I thought for a moment. I used to beg my dad to come home or bring me with him. He would always say no. My mom probably would never stop becoming an alcoholic. I still love them though.

"It's hard to decide. I really feel loved here. Its like this is my second family, blood related or not. I would like to help Blue though. With the island, make it bigger and help more people that are in need"

I swam closer to Chan and he grabbed my waist pulling me towards him. I wrapped my legs around his torso and my arms around his shoulders.

"If they turn out to be my parents, what if they want to take me back to Russia?" I asked

"They seem like the kind of people to leave that up to you"

"Do you think if I asked Blue if I could visit my parents, he'd let me?"

Chan thought for a moment. I've been here for so long who knows the risk of going back. There could be cops waiting for us, or they call them as soon as we get there.

"I'm not really sure. You could always ask, he does have a soft spot for you" he chuckled "but I think everyone here does"
