Lost In The Jungle

I was currently on a stand up paddle board having a race with Drey and Travis. We made a deal on whoever could get to the boat faster, without falling, wins.

The winners prize has yet to be decided. Blue and Rose were to discuss what we would win. It most likely would be a day off work.

"Shark!" I screamed pointing to nothing in the water. My plan had worked. Drey screamed like a little girl and fell in the water.

I laughed along with Travis and the others. Luckily Z had my Polaroid and snagged a picture of him falling. It was down to two now.Travis lined up with me and counted from three.

"three..."

I moved my feet in a position where I wouldn't feel like I was going to fall against the small ripples in the water.

"Two..."

I moved my paddle down, close to the water ready to start paddling to the boat.

"One!"

As soon as I placed my paddle in the water, I also came in contact with the water. Falling in only about a foot or two deep I swam to the top hitting my head on the paddle board.

I moved it to the side swinging my arms over the board to keep me floating. I looked behind me to see Drey sitting on his shaking his head.

"It happened again huh?" I asked knowing I had glitched right through the board.

I groaned in frustration. Not because I glitched unexpectedly, but because I now wouldn't win the prize. It better be lame whatever it is.

I climbed onto the board swinging one of my legs around. I looked down to see my paddle had slowly made its way to the bottom of the ocean floor.

"I'll get it"

Drey jumped in the water swimming to the bottom. We weren't in a very deep area. Maybe ten feet at most, Drey had been in the water so much since we got here he has learned to hold his breath for almost two minutes.

"Thanks" I said grabbing the stick from his hands. Drey jumping on my paddle board facing me. He then holds his hands out and reveals a sand dollar "for you my young lady" he said in a British accent

"Why thank you kind sir" I said back in the most British accent I could. It must have been horrible due to the fact Drey gave me a stank look.

Drey snatched my paddle and started to paddle us backwards to the boat. After going in a couple of circles we finally made it. Ivan gave me a hand to help me climb the boat.

After I was on he gave the same jester to Drey only to let go and make him fall back into the water. While Ivan was to busy laughing, Drey snuck up on him pulling him into the water.

While the five year olds were playing I went to go sit down with everyone else. Anastasia gave me a towel and I wrapped myself in it sitting beside her.

After painting I ate dinner with Ivan and Anastasia early since I was hungry and didn't want to wait on everyone else. We talked mostly about their lives. Some about me, but not much.

It went really well. We all have a lot in common. I could feel a nice relationship growing between us three. I still think about my parents back home. Wondering how they are or if they even notice I was gone.

"So what do I win?" Travis said extending his legs over Rose who pushed them away after making a gross face

Blue thought for a moment "you can have an extra day off work" I knew he was gonna say that. Travis just shrugged and accepted his prize, knowing if he argued Blue would take away his extra free day.

"There is a shipment coming in next week. I talk to some people in Korea my dad knew and they decided to help us out" Blue spoke up helping Ivan get the paddle boards on the boat.

"Anything from Trevor?" Ivan asked in his deep Russian accent. I want a cool accent. I'm just stuck with a slight country one.

Blue started the board once everyone was settled "no. I'm not wasting my time to get his help when I can get others"

"Understand Blue, but remember, Trevor is one of our biggest allies" Anastasia said getting three Capri Suns ready for Drey, Travis and I.

I gladly took the drink and started sipping on it "can I request some stuff?"

"Let me know at the island and I'll send it in so I know for a fact we may be able to get it on in this shipment"

"Cool" I said finishing my Capri Sun "I need more polaroids, paint, pencils, not the mechanical ones but the number two ones. They draw the best. I also need some more shoes if possible, I prefer-"

"I said once we get back to the island!"

I left the tent once Blue wrote down everything I needed. I could finally get some new shoes. These converse are dirty and starting to get holes.

"Whatcha doin?"

I asked Zero and Travis, who were on the ground. I watched as they were in deep conversation. Completely ignoring me.

I looked up as I felt a rain drop. The clouds started to roll in fast. Everyone around me started to pick up their speed trying to get things under shelter.

"Hello" I sang to the two boys who were still ignoring me. They got up moving over to the tower that have the island signal.

For a place to have signal, why don't we have t.v.'s? I'll have to run back to Blue and request one or more if possible. The Nintendo is fun and all but can get boring. Maybe even a laptop would work.

I turned around back to the tent since I got ignored. Pushing passed people who were running around like maniacs.

As I got to Blues tent the rain was now coming down and the thunder was rolling in. I walked in to see Blue on the radio requesting my stuff "perfect timing" I said sitting on the desk "I need a tv"

Blue shook his head "why not?" I hugged crossing my arms. He told the guy on the other end to hold for thirty seconds.

"We don't have electricity to hook it up too"

"Then someone can build a place with electricity. At least one spot! How about the dinning area! We have bands, why not movie night?" I suggest

He thought for a second and agreed. He then told the guy a tv with cords and what not "and also a laptop please"

Blue just shook his head and asked for a laptop. I squealed in excitement but stoped as soon as the thunder struck.

Blue got done and he handed me is hoodie. I threw on the hood and grabbed his hand pulling him out the tent. We stood on the small porch watching the rain.

It was almost like it was in slow motion. A loud sound emerged along with a lightning bolt. In the distance you could see the signal tower get hit but lightning and start to catch fire.

"Shit" Blue said running to the tower hearing people yell. Of course the noise person I am, followed. Blue being taller and longer legs got ahead of me. I tried my best to keep up even with people in my way.

I slowly stopped running when I saw the scene.

3rd POV

Dawn stood there in shock. Getting drenched by the minute. Islanders running around helping the ones who were thrown off their feet from the shock wave of the tower being struck.

Dawn looked around remembering Travis and Zero were here just minutes ago. She started to panicked not finding either of the two.

The tower now on fire, light smoke started to spread across the area. Islander trying their best to put it out. One islander, who goes by Felix, turned his whole body into water and was spraying the tower.

Another, named Jinx, was creating a strong with to help blow the smoke away from the camp site. Dawn saw Blue helping others up who seemed to get burned from the lightning.

Dawn continued to look for Zero and Travis, not knowing Travis got struck by the lightning and was currently getting CPR from Zero.
