We finally got back to the camp site to drop off our bags in the tents and made our way to go eat. I tried my best to brush my hair with my fingers while it was still wet but soon gave up due to all the tangles

"I wonder what's for dinner?" I questioned as my belly growled

Drey who walked a little above me and Travis squealed with a little jump "looks like turkey" he singed the word turkey

"How do you know that?" Travis questioned sniffing the air

We walked up to the table full of food and got in line with everyone else. We filled up half our plate with some fruit and vegetables while the other half was for the turkey. I still didn't know if Drey was right when it came to the meat.

"Welcome back guys. How did exploring go?" Z asked as he scooped some meat onto Dreys plate

"It was great, we ha-" I was then cut off my Travis scooting in front of me and Z

Sticking out his plate for food he continued the conversation for me "we had so much fun. You know, me, Drey, and Dawn-" he said my name with confidence "we swam a little you know"

Z just laughed shaking his head "good to hear" he then scooped some food onto my plate "hope you like the turkey, freshly caught this afternoon"

Travis huffed in annoyance walking away with Drey leavening me and Z. Travis knew that last sentence was for me. Also, how did Drey know it was turkey? I can't even smell it.

"Sorry about him"

"No need to apologize Dawn, I understand the frustration of your friend"

I notice Z really didn't care if it bothered Travis or not. If anything he probably found it amusing how hard Travis was trying to act tuff and the fail to do so. In school when someone would get bullied Travis would stand up for that kid. Chest puffed out and standing on his tippy toes a little to make it seem he was taller.

No matter what Travis couldn't look scary, he was just born with a baby face. Even if he got mad no one would take him seriously because he was just to cute for that. Drey on the other hand may be big and soft, but that man can look scary looking sometimes.

I then someone clear there throat beside me "move along now kid, old man here gots to eat"

I looked behind him to see a line of people waiting "oh, so sorry-" I bowed "see you later Z" with that I walked to wear Travis and Drey were sitting.

"Did you know there are over a hundred stars in the galaxy" Drey stated as I sat down beside Travis

Travis looked across the table stupidly at Drey "no shit Sherlock"

I giggled as I began eating the food. Man, this is really good. Not better than chick fil a though "how would you know that Drey?" I teased popping a grape in my mouth

He shrugged with a sly smile "I counted. Maybe one day y'all could get on my level"

"Yeah sure, maybe that's your super power-" I giggled "-counting stars"

Travis laughed "your right Dawn, when had he ever been able to count passed ten"

Right then and there Travis got cut off by Drey throwing turkey at his face "very funny you two. Your just jealous" he reached over to grab the turkey off Travis face and began to eat it "we don't waste around here"

After making fun of Drey the whole dinner time we decided to walk on the beach. It was getting dark and a bit chilly so I told them I wanted to change and I'll meet them at the beach.

After changing into some gray sweatpants and a gray hoodie I exited the tent on my was to the beach. Passing through the tents I was stopped by my name being called. I looked around and didn't see anyone but my names was still being called "god? Is that you?"

I looked around a bit more until I saw Edwin trying to catch his breath from laughing "you should have seen your face. How did you not see me? I was literally standing right here"

He tried to continue to talk but was interrupted by his laughter "oh so funny Edwin" I said dragging out the word "so".

" I was right here, how did you not see me?" I said in a man voice trying my best to make fun of him but only made him laugh harder.

"Okay okay I get it, it was funny"

I sat town on a tree stumped impatiently waiting for him to stop laughing. I really wanted to go to the beach at night. People were saying it glows blue.

He calmed down saying a few sorry's "what are you up to?"

"Going to the beach. I wanted to change first, I was getting a bit chilly. Want to join?"

Edwin seemed super nice and caring. He probably will turn out to be a good friend "I'd love to" I shot right up motioning for him to follow "will Drey be there?"

I turned around to look at Edwin but he was looking anywhere else but me "of course" I walked over to Edwin interlocking our arms making him walk with me. Smiling a bit at his nervousness "why ask?"

He hummed looking down kicking a rock "just wondering, he wasn't with you so you know, I wondered"

I rolled my eyes at his excuse of an answer "Travis isn't with me either" I mentioned

"Oh yeah I know, I just forgot his name" he answered a bit to quickly

"Yeah sure" I wasn't stupid, someone may have a little crush. I wouldn't blame him, Drey was good looking. So was Edwin, he was young and currently had his hair up in a bun.

Something about a man bun just gets me all in my feelings. Why couldn't I look that good with a messy bun. It's like a man with a bun was created to look like a Greek God.

"How old are you?" I needed more information about Edwin if he were to get close to Drey. For safety reasons.

"Twenty, I meet boss a little over a year ago I think"

"That's dope. Did you ever go to school?"

He shook his head "no, I was home schooled. You know with the eyes and everything"

Totally forgot about the eyes, even though this is the second time we've interacted I guess I didn't pay attention to them. I didn't want to ask about his family in case it was a sensitive subject, I would have to get yo know him a bit better.

My investigation of knowing more about Edwin came to a short end when we got to the beach. We walked over to the boys who were running after another "hey guys"

They both stopped out of breath walking over to us, "remember Edwin? He helped us earlier" I mentioned, Travis gave a small wave and threw a arm over my shoulders

"I remember you-" Drey said finally catching his breath "you gave me a stick"

Edwin laughed "the epipen?"

"Yeah that. I didn't properly introduce myself, I'm Drey"

"Edwin"

I looked over at Travis giving him the wiggly eyes while he gave me kissy faces. The good thing about knowing each other for so long we could communicate with our faces. Now sometimes it can be unclear if someone just does to many faces, hit Drey, but other than that we understand one another.

Edwin and Drey were in deep conversation so me and Travis walked away "what kind of name is Edwin?"

"Oh come on Travis, I think it's cute. Them two I mean. Not so much the name"

"I don't think Drey even realizes Edwin giving him the eyes" I looked back at the two boys and Drey was just talking up a storm while Edwin listened to everything he said.

I turned to look at Travis who was already looking at me "what?" I moved my head down so he would see my face heat up. I sometimes would get these feeling around Travis. Like I said earlier I liked him but not like a crush where I was head over heels.
