"Bro, it's so hot" I complained taking off my jacket and gloves
"Bro I know" Drey agreed doing the same and wrapping it around his waste. I did exactly what he had did.
I was glad I chose the shirt I did. It may have been long sleeved, but since it was so tight it had risen up to my stomach. So now it was like I was wearing a crop top. Luckily for Drey, he had short sleeves under his jacket.
I walked over to the two cars. Shocked and excited by what was in front of me "Drey! This is a sixty nine Camaro. H-How is this here?"
"Uh, I don't know. Maybe they bought it?" He sarcastically said bouncing over me
If I wasn't so excited I would have made a comment back. This was a true beauty. It had to have just been made. The paint job looked fresh. The black looked amazing on it, it shined against the sun like Edward in Twilight.
The hood had two white strikes going down. If it were me, I'd change that, but I wasn't going to complain too much. The rims where just beautiful. They had to have just been cleaned.
"Can I help you two?"
I jumped, turning on my feet. A young boy walked up the drive way with a few paper bags in his hands.
He looked around our age. Reddish hair like Ivy, yet it was a little lighter. Freckles down his nose and across his cheeks. A small gap in between his two teeth.
"Oh, u-us?" Drey stuttered, way to go Drey
The boy scuffed "yeah. You two, you're in my driveway"
Me and Drey both looked at one another and made and 'o' sound. Nodding my head, I now know this boy is the man in the picture between the stairs I had saw earlier.
"Yeah sorry about that, we um, got lost" I said
"Got lost, huh?" He said looking me up and down "it's quiet the small town to be getting lost. Do I know you guys?"
Drey nudged me to continue talking to the boy, I shook my head "nope. We just moved here actually. We were checking the place out and I happen to come across this car and got distracted is all" I faked laughed
Drey fake laughing along with me, I hiked up my leg and kicked him behind his leg. His laugh was way to loud and way to fake. The boys just looked at the two of us and shrugged.
"Well, welcome to Hells Island. My name is Felix, and yours?"
"Drey"
"Dawn"
"Beautiful name Dawn" he smiled
I looked down at the ground, "oh thank you" I smiled
"She has a boyfriend" Drey blurted
"Oh does she?" Felix questioned. I looked up slightly at Drey, peaking at him from under my cap "well is he here?"
"Unfortunately not" I smiled back at Felix
"Well hate to break it to you love, but once you move here there's not turning around. So you and that boy might as well call it quits"
Felix walks passed me and Drey, up his driveway and to his door. I looked to Drey smacking him in the arm. He shrugged not really knowing what to do.
"Would you two like to come in?" Felix offered
"We'd love too" I said walking behind him
The place looked exactly the same but clean. That picture of the man was no longer there, but replaced with a picture of a family.
It seemed to be a mother, a father, Felix was there, along with two smaller girls and a little boy. The stairs had a nice red rug run all the way up. The walls were a nice white and the floors were actually marble. Something I didn't notice.
They had vases everywhere along with more pictures and paintings. Rugs were placed on the floor, I was scared to knock anything over.
I took off my shoes at the front door, signaling for Drey to do the same since we had mud all over them. Felix left his on since his were squeaky clean.
We followed Felix to the kitchen. Both Drey and I careful not to touch anything. Felix sat the bags on the island and a woman walked in, in a maids outfit and began to put everything up.
"Follow me"
We then followed Felix to the living room. The furniture was in a different spot, but the book shelf was the same.
The couch was red and had flakes of gold in it. The rug underneath was also red with a hint of purple. More picture of the family where up.
I notice there was a window. I didn't notice it before, maybe it was covered up or was just dirty. The yard was the exact same. The playground was there, the trees in the distance and you could see the ocean more clearly. Yet, the shed off to the left wasn't there yet.
"Please have a seat"
Felix sat down on one couch. I looked over at Drey and he looked at me. We were thinking the same thing. As long as we don't touch it with our skin, we should be okay.
With my eyes closed, I sat down. Slowly opening them, in front of me was Felix watching us with amused eyes. He laughed, kicking his feet up on the coffee table.
"You guys are odd. I like that"
"Thanks man" Drey laughed
"So if you don't mind me asking, are you guys siblings?"
I looked over and Drey who chuckled to himself, "oh I'm sure that was confusing. My baby sister here is actually adopted"
"Oh really? So am I" Felix said thrilled "where are you originally from?"
Before I could speak, Drey beat me to it "she's from Russia"
I looked over at Drey. Oh no he didn't. He just went there. I smacked my lips together looking at Drey who held the biggest grin on his face. He's lucky we're doing research here.
"Yep. I'm from Russia"
"Oh wow, Russia is a scary place. How come you don't have an accent?" This kid ask a lot of questions
"We'll I grew up in a small town, quiet country really so" I said waiting for him to understand I was around other accents and learned how to speak differently, which is true
"Ah I get it"
"What about you man? Where are you originally from?" Drey now asked Felix
He smirked "born in the United Kingdom. My family here adopted me, moved here and then later had kids of there own thinking they never could. Just kinda got thrown to the side, ya know?"
I side eyed Drey who looked uncomfortable. The rich kid seemed to be living life. I mean he literally had a sixty nine Camero in his front yard. Go take a joy ride. I wonder if he would be the one to turn into the Lurker.
