Unfortunately for us, we had to drive slow. It wasn't a straight shot through. Blue was right, there was actually bodies.
But it wasn't the normal dead bodies you'd think of. They weren't bloody or decomposed, nor was there any skeletons.
It's almost like they had turned into stone or a thick sand. There were many around us, some on the ground, some standing up.
There were men, women, children and even animals. Some looked like they were running away. Then there were ones that looked like they were screaming or crying.
You know when you play a horror game and your a store cashier? Then the power goes out and you have to find the breaker. Then while doing so all the mannequins in the store start to move and when you point your flash light towards them they freeze.
Well this is exactly the feeling I'm getting. It's like time froze here just like it did back in that house. This whole island was weird. What made the Boss even chose this place?
It wasn't long till we finally passed through. I could feel Chan had speed up a little and I thanked him mentally for that.
Looking back, everything had slowly disappeared into the fog. It was weird it was only that one area and not all around.
I felt Ivy hands loosen a little, but she still held on tightly. She seemed a little shaken up by the fact there were people everywhere.
"Do you think those were real people?" I asked, making Ivy jump a little
"I don't know" Chan responded
I couldn't tell if he really didn't know, or if he was just saying that to make everyone feel better by the fact we just drove by a bunch of bodies.
"I think so" Drey said. Of course he would.
"You really think that?" Ivy asked
Drey turned in his seat to face all three of us better, "I do think that. There's no way those could be statues. They were all too different, what place would want to even have anything like that in the first place?"
"But what could possibly make them turn into rock?" Ivy questioned, now more relaxed
"And what makes us have powers?" Drey asked back making Ivy stay silent
"It's all a big how and what if. No one really knows how these things happen. But we could find out what happen on this island" Chan spoke up concentrating on the road
"Hey look" I said pointing in between Chan and Drey
Up ahead was another building. Blue must have notice since he was going towards it. Yuki turned towards us giving us the thumbs up.
I looked over to see Ivy drawing on the map. We got a small portion of the area so far. I felt like we've been everywhere, but in reality we really haven't covered much area.
Coming to a stop, there was a huge building in front of us. There were four floors, there was even a closed in bridged that connected to the other building that was only three floors tall.
The brick was brown and seemed to maybe once been a burgundy color. There were sidewalks around the place, but covered in grass and weeds.
Vines had grown on the building making it look even more creepy, trees grown around it. The branches growing into some of the windows.
There were hallways on the outside of the floors that had doors going into rooms. Everything was badly rusted and most of the windows were broken.
"Is this a hotel?" Yuki asked
