Lost In The Jungle

After everyone calmed down, we all gathered at the entrance of the house. Not wanting to be in there anymore, we stood around the front door that was now shut.

Drey and Ivy sat on the steps, while Blue and Yuki were in front of them having a conversation. Chan and I were off to the side just listening.

"So your telling me, Drey touched an object and had a vision?" Blue asked

"That's right. I'm also saying, whoever he is touching along with the object can go with him to where that vision takes him" Ivy explained

Blue slowly nodded taking it all in. Drey was still taken back by what had happen. He told us the figure they saw was human like, but almost like the Lurker.

It was tall, a little over six feet. Long arms and legs. It was bold and had no eyes nor no ears. The only thing different from the Lurker was the jaw was missing, or was torn off. They also said it was gray, the Lurker was more of a brown, reddish color.

"Maybe Drey has gained an ability" Yuki spoke up

"But how?" Drey asked

"I'm not sure" Blue said "the island is full of surprises. Maybe you magically ate something or maybe your were born with it and just now founding out about it"

"That's a possibility. Travis got his from a lightning strike and I'm assuming Dawn as born with hers. Now we're assuming you were born with one too" Yuki said

"Isn't weird that our friend group all gained powers?" I kinda joked. It was a little weird, we all knew it.

Drey jumped up in excitement. Holding out a hand for Ivy, she dusted the dirt off her pants. I let out a breath watching the soft rain come down.

"It's about damn time. It's pretty cool if you ask me" Drey said excitedly

"It's actually a pretty cool power" Chan said making Drey cheese "I mean you can see vision of objects, maybe even people. If you learn to control it we can figure out if your seeing the present or past"

"Why don't you say future?" I asked looking up at Chan

He pressed his lips into a thin line and then licked them, what he usually does when he thinks "they talked about the thing they saw. My guess is it could possibly be the Lurker"

"Could you go more in depth of why you think that?" Blue asked Chan, very serious as why he wondered that

"Oh well because one, they named off similar characteristic-"

"But they are still different" Blue said like he was challenging Chan. Chan smiled knowing what Blue was doing. I wondered if Blue usually questioned him like this?

"Things adapt to their environments. Who knows how old the Lurker is, I'm assuming old because everything in this house screams old. Everything here is left untouched, if someone were to move, wouldn't they want their stuff? I mean I would" Chan said shrugging

"He's got a point" Yuki said to Blue

"Also, Drey touched an object that had to do with this house. He said it was of a family. Maybe someone of the family turned into this thing and that's part of what he saw" Chan finished

I squealed linking my arm with his. Seeing him tying every informational piece he has together is so hot. Looking over at Blue he laughed to himself and shook his head.
