Dawn POV

A week has passed and Travis has yet to wake up. A hand full of people got injured during the incident and Travis bring the only one to not wake up.

Blue got to Zero In enough time to help. Luckily Zero got Travis breathing again and Blue moved any heavy objects in their way.

Of course when I had seen Travis, I panicked. Running around looking for Rose like a maniac on the lose. Good thing about panicking was I could run through anyone and anything to get where I need faster.

Now here I am with Drey, sitting at the dinner table playing around with my food. Food usually turns bad situations better, but not this time.

Even Drey couldn't eat. I have never seen Drey down like this before. I don't blame him. He says he's fine but comes out of Edwin's tent with red and puffy eyes.

I'm not going to push it. I'm just glade he has Edwin by his side to help him through this time. Drey is trying to be there for me, but when I notice he starts to break down he makes an excuse and walks away.

Even though we're best friends, we always try to cheer one another up. This time was hard to do so. No one was making jokes, or pulling pranks on one another. It was quite.

The whole island was quite. Everyone continued their work but the atmosphere was off. Everyone was worried about their new friend who may never wake up.

It was a bit special to me in a way. Seeing this people we have known for months care so much about one another. The tent that held Travis was filled with cards, flowers, and even little knickknacks people found or made for him for when he wakes up.

I looked up after hearing a sniffle "Drey" I called out softly to the boy who quickly wiped the tear off his cheeks.

"Excuse me. I have to use the restroom" He said in a whisper walking off to the bathroom he clams having to use.

I sighed not knowing how to make him feel better. Even I couldn't feel better. I should be able to knowing Travis isn't dead. Out of the three of us, no one has come this close to getting hurt.

Drey did fall off his bike once and claimed he was slowly losing his memory. Turns out he was just a little dumb and forgot me, his best friend of years, looked liked. I get I'm a typical white girl but he sees me everyday.

"How you doing there ant?"

I looked up to see Ivan taking a seat across from me. 'Ant' is a nick name he started calling me a few days ago. Since I was so small compared to everyone else.

It started out him calling me an ant because he could never find me in crowds. Then every time he saw me he just started calling me it as a joke. Now it's passed a joke and it's now a permanent nick name.

"I'm okay" I shrugged taking a small bite of some rice. White rice was my absolute favorite food choice, but as of right now I wasn't to exotic about have rice with deer meat.

"I just passed Rose. Said Travis seemed to be doing better, want to go visit him after you eat?"

Ivan and Anastasia have been extremely supportive during all this. They let me talk to them without interrupting or saying something negative. Letting me cry on their shoulders.

I hate to say it but, if Travis didn't get hurt I don't think I would have gotten this close to them. They were the first person I saw and just started to pour my emotions out to them.

Of course everyone else has been around checking up on me but I try to act strong for them. Even if they know I'm faking it, like Drey. Everyone deals with things differently.
