"There is nothing quite so pure in love, as a boy and a girl, building castles in the clouds."

LUCY LET ALPINE FOLLOW beside her feet as they climbed up the stairs of a broad cobblestone path. They were still in the main parts of the city, buildings– regal and old– towering above them. They followed behind Zemo blindly, and Lucy couldn't help but constantly check her surroundings because, well, he was suspicious alright? She couldn't trust him, even when he tried to show regret for his past and current actions.

She turned her eyes away from the civilians circling them– they were people, she reminded herself, with jobs to do and lives to live. They didn't have anything to do with her. Not yet, not now. Lucy didn't need to worry herself about the very normal people around her. God, she could be such an idiot sometime–

"Karli Morgenthau is too dangerous for you guys to pull this shit!"

Oh god.

A groan escaped her lips as she recognized the very grating sound of John Walker's whiny voice. She decided this day could not get any worse. Only the people circling her knew about the lack of abilities she currently had—she would have to pretend, and wow, that was some sort of karma, wasn't it?

"Ah! How'd you find us now?" James questioned, rolling his eyes with annoyance.

Lucy crossed her arms over her chest as Walker and his buddy, Battlestar or whatever his name was– she knew he was Lemar, she just didn't want to acknowledge him, nor Walker, and yes, she knew his first name too–traveled down the worn stairs in front of them.

It made her rather vexed.

"Come on, man." Hoskins, chuckled with a shake of his head– like they were friends. "You really think two Avengers can walk around Latvia without drawing attention?"

James's eyelid twitched.

He gazed at him, eyes narrowing into something akin to a glare.

"Three, actually." He corrected sharply, his voice cold. "My wife is an Avenger, Hoskins."

Lucy tilted her head at Hoskins, waiting for him to speak. He actually looked genuinely regretful, and gave James a nod of understanding. Well, she wasn't expecting him to be so humble, especially with the way Walker spoke and acted so arrogantly.

God, Lucy wanted to bash Walker's face into Stevie's shield, ask him how it feels.

"No more keeping us in the dark." Walker stated as they stopped in front of them. "You could start by telling us why you broke him out of prison."
