Another apology post! Here's a bunch of little things about characters and their backgrounds. Basically, fun facts!

The Timelines

ISAAC MURPHY is not my own character!

1. Unsurprisingly! I don't have the genius brain to create him. The user, Lauralot, on Archive of Our Own, wrote about him in their fanfics! All credit goes to them and their amazing work. So, I don't actually have any easter eggs about him and his past. However, I do have a few fun facts to do with his animal career on the helicarrier and in Seoul.

2. Winter, the cat with one paw, got adopted into a very warm and loving family in Korea that has nothing to do with HYDRA. The owners bring him to Isaac every once in a while so Winter can have play dates with other animals. Isaac, however, never actually wanted to sell Winter, because he thought Lucy would be a perfect candidate as a new cat parent. His desires were dismissed when this family came instead.

HENRY SCHAFFER is, as everyone knows, an asshole. But, there are some things you guys don't know about him! So here are a bunch of facts.

1. I was actually going to kill him off in the very first book. There was supposed to be this scene where Verfall tries to protect him from other HYDRA agents, but Henry gets killed anyway (this was one of the first times she wakes up in cryo). If this were to happen, however, Verfall's attitude would completely change, and Lucy would become straight up emotionless. That didn't feel fun for me to write so I got rid of the idea.

2. I was actually going to kill him off in the second book too. That was also scrapped because I'm emotionally attached to his character now. I don't know why, but he's such an intricate person with so many layers to him that I can't kill him off.

3. Henry's actual backstory has been talked about, but never confirmed by him. Aka, Henry has not told anyone about the truth of his parents or who he was. Only Nephthys knows about his past, and she is correct on the fact he received a lobotomy when he was younger. This, however, does not affect him anymore because the serum he takes to stop his aging healed this! So, excuses are all he has.

4. He is diagnosed with ASPD, antisocial personality disorder.

5. He treats Joseph the traumatized goat like he treats Verfall, because they are very similar to him.

6. Unfortunately for Henry, he in fact, does have a very real crush on Lucy. He doesn't admit that it exists, because he wants to keep the peace between himself, Lucy and James. Besides, he does feel guilty about everything he's done to Lucy, so he doesn't want to have much to do with her anymore.

7. The serum he takes has bad side effects.

8. He was friends with Johann Schmidt before he became the head of HYDRA. Because of this, Henry was given high positions, even with his terrible track record.

9. In fact, Johann Schmidt had no other friends through his teenage years because Henry and his narcissistic personality wouldn't let him. Quite frankly, he wanted Johann to have only one friend, and it could only be Henry.

10. He was kicked out of the SS because he killed a nurse for confessing her love for him then attempting to kiss him; he killed a subordinate for looking at him the wrong way; he killed a military dog because it barked at him; and he nearly beheaded a colonel.
