IN THE END THEY HAD a total of eight laptops open. Two were in front of James, two were in front of Karli, and four were in front of Lucy with her abilities in use, dark shadows shifting over the keyboards, as if she had a total of four arms. No one moved as they surveyed their screens, focusing completely on the mission at hand. Their expressions were too serious for any of this to be a joke– and it wasn't.

They were going to get these tickets, no matter what. There was no way they were going to miss out on this one in a lifetime opportunity.

Sure, Lucy might've been alive while Taylor Swift was still a literal baby, but hell, that didn't mean she didn't like her music.

It'd been weird, at first, trying to listen to modern day music. But after a few car rides with the modern radio, she started becoming more and more open to listening to 21st century pop music. And god, if she didn't like Taylor Swift. Admittedly, she was able to get James on the bandwagon, and he also became a very strong Swiftie at heart– maybe more so than her, if she knew better.

And usually, she did.

The clock ticked– a minute passed by.

Just as the tickets were about to be released, a loud crash resounded from the kitchen, followed by a pained cry. Lucy's focus was lost because, oh dear, had Angeliko dropped something even in Klause's presence? The older man was here to visit, for all of their sake, honestly. They all really enjoyed being around Klause, since he was always respectful and managed to have this dry humor which left them laughing for hours.

Lucy jumped from her seat, rushing to the kitchen and very ignorant of the tickets that they'd probably missed. It didn't matter– her duties as a mother mattered more. She turned into the kitchen, her eyes wide as Angeliko stood next to a shattered jar with baking beans scattered across the floor.

Oh.

The yelp Angeliko had let out wasn't because he was injured, but because Klause was surrounded by the glass, remaining completely still. He lifted his head when Lucy stepped inside. His eyes were somehow neutral, even though his hands were trembling against a few shards of glass.
