LUCY STOOD WHEN THE glass doors slid open. Shang-Chi stepped inside, a tissue pressed against his nose. She gave him a wave, and he huffed as he plopped down on the couch across from her. When Xialing appeared, Lucy grinned, approaching her. She looked up, another smile forming on her face. They embraced each other.

Xialing pulled back, looking her over. She gave her a nod, and Lucy nodded right back.

"Schaffer told me you were dying." She admitted. "I visited you while you were asleep. You look much better now."

Lucy blinked.

She had– right, she'd been in a coma for three days. She didn't realize Xialing had visited though. No one had ever told her, or perhaps, Xialing had never told anyone else. Still, it made Lucy's heart warm, that the younger woman cared enough to visit her on her possible death bed.

Lucy winced.

"He was probably violent again, wasn't he?" She asked.

Xialing huffed.

"Not towards me." She walked over towards her desk, setting down her cloak. Her eyes darted to Lucy. "He could have, but I think he chose not to because of you."

Lucy let out a breath of relief.

It wasn't like Xialing couldn't hold her own– she'd just witnessed the younger women absolutely destroy her brother while sparring.

But that didn't mean Henry didn't know how to fight for himself. He was a seasoned man of the military, and had his fair share sparring with people for nearly a century. If Lucy was being completely honest, his combat power would have tempted HYDRA to turn him into a weapon too, not that they knew his pastime hobbies.

Besides, they actually valued him as a scientist, not as a subject, and HYDRA tended not to cross that line unless a betrayal occurred. But by then Henry had been capable of hiding in the shadows.

In other words, Lucy was just glad that Henry had decided not to go ballistic on her friends.

"That's good." She said as she sat back down on the couch.

Xialing raised an eyebrow at her.

"Did you and Mr. Barnes get married?" She asked, wiggling her eyebrows suggestively.
