"The world won't fall apart if you nap."

SHARON CARTER WAS A pain in the ass, and was nothing like her aunt, Lucy realized. She'd grown an attitude since the past five years they'd lost. It was a startling realization that made a part of Lucy cringe. God, watching Sharon and Zemo get along was painfully annoying. Lucy blamed some of her annoyance to the fog that seemed to cover her mind. Some part of her was confused. The Commander had upped and left, leaving them with no mission handler, which meant Zemo returned to being a primary handler but he wasn't acting like one.

James seemed to be in the same boat, brows furrowed with thought as he tried to piece together what was happening. It wasn't like this was the first time the Commander decided to leave so abruptly, but it was the first time a primary handler didn't even try acting like one. At least Steve did. It made him question how much malice Zemo actually had, or if he had any intentions like that in the first place. It also made him undeniably frustrated.

Lucy caught his eye, giving him a frown. James shook his head, that uncertain look in his eyes now filled with wariness. She tilted her head, eyes gentle. He gave her a little smile, before scooting closer and grasping her hand.

They were seated in a hybrid of a changing room and a living room. Couches were sprawled across the area, a coffee table in front of them. Zemo was lounging on a loveseat, a glass of whiskey in his hand. Sam was standing beside a row of clothes, all which were more or less party outfits.

She and James both had changed out of their uniforms, although Lucy was still relying on her abilities to give her an outfit she found fitting– completely and utterly black.

"Much better." Sharon stated as she stepped into the room.

Lucy didn't see how a shirtless Sam was much better, but she decided not to mention it.

"What's going on Sharon?" Sam huffed. "You don't ever want to come back home?"

Sharon's eyes flicked back at Sam, before she plopped her leather jacket on the couch besides James. Her eyes darted to Lucy for a split second and she couldn't help the frown that formed on her face. Sharon turned her attention fully to Sam.

"They'll lock me up if I step back into the states." She sighed as she sauntered over to her desk. "Madripoor doesn't allow extradition."

Sam gave her a regretful look.
