"I feel her so intensely words seem unfit. I needed to paint her, grab colors with my hands and throw them at the canvas, 'there' I would yell, 'this is my love for you'."

ANGELIKO'S JAW DROPPED OPEN as he looked at the giant dumpling sitting between his fingertips. He opened his mouth as wide as he could get it, before taking an enormously small chomp. Lucy's lips twitched upwards and she stifled a laugh as Angeliko's eyes widened, brightening with amazement.

"Ish so goosh!" He beamed.

James ruffled his hair, laughing.

Karli snickered from Lucy's left, taking a bite of her own dumpling. Her eyes lit up too, but it was a lot less animated and comical as Angeliko.

It was interesting, the way the four of them could find things like large dumplings life-changing, especially when they'd gone up against aliens and terrorist organizations.

She thought it was amusing as much as she thought it was good. It was what they needed. After all the suffering James and her had experienced– after all the unfair experiences Karli and Angeliko had– this was good for their souls and their hearts.

Angeliko didn't mention Pierce much anymore, but that didn't mean his memories of him were gone. Her poor son still had to live with those past memories. And, honestly, Lucy wasn't sure if he'd forget this when he grew older, like most kids. Because Angeliko was enhanced, and if Lucy's memories were crystal clear, then maybe– just maybe– his would be too.

It would hurt when he realized how he'd been treated.

It made Lucy chew on her dumpling a little more aggressively. Klause, who was sitting across from them with a dumpling between his chopsticks, glanced at her for a quick moment.

She continued chewing on her food, before a sudden thought occurred to her.

What if. . .what if Klause could oversee the business after Henry's death? What if he took care of it, instead of her? It would be. . .difficult, for him, but Lucy had adjusted– Klause could too.

James stabbed a dumpling with a few skewers, holding it out towards Lucy. She smiled softly, taking the offered food. James gave her a very loving wink, and Lucy rolled her eyes at him playfully as she ate.

Karli groaned at the pair while Angeliko let out a faint 'ew' sound. Geez, these kids were overreacting a little too much. It wasn't like they were kissing or anything further than that. They hadn't had the time nor the energy when they had two rambunctious kids to take care of.
