"How this life never ends."Riga, Latvia
July, 2024"KARLI'S IN THERE." Zemo stated as they entered a broad warehouse-like building.
Lucy glanced around the room. She counted the exits and the windows– she counted the civilians that walked past them, unaware of their presence as they stood concealed near a gas-tank like object. She noted that there were children here–really, why were there so many kids in this area–as well as teenagers.
James nudged her in the side and she blinked as he nodded towards the floor. Alpine was clambering towards the open door, sniffing at it with that oblivious curiosity. That itself probably would've given Lucy a heart attack, but the little girl had crouched to her side, petting her head with a bright smile.
Lucy regretfully stepped forwards, giving the girl a sheepish look.
"Ah, I'm afraid Alpine can't follow you in." She admitted.
The girl looked up at her. She nodded in understanding, pushing Alpine towards her. Lucy grasped her with care, giving the girl a smile as Alpine climbed up onto her shoulder, holding on with her paws. She padded back over to James as Sam stepped past her, stepping towards the door.
"All right." He said with a determined tone.
Lucy watched him, before feeling the air move. She turned on her heel to see Walker slamming Zemo against the weird gas-tank thing beside them. She narrowed her eyes on him as James stiffened at her side.
"Hey, you got ten minutes." Walker stated.
Lucy clenched her jaw as he cuffed Zemo to the tank.
"Really?" Zemo questioned, eyebrow raising.
Sam turned back to look at them.
"Then we're doing things my way." Walker continued.
"Aggresive." Zemo said with amusement.
He tried not to wince at the sight.
Bucky looked extra tense, extra annoyed. Lucy looked surprisingly calm, though he knew from the way her shoulders drew upwards that she was utterly upset. He hesitated. Leaving them with Zemo, Walker and Hoskins suddenly felt like a bad idea. It wasn't like he didn't trust them– he just wasn't sure if their hate towards Walker would make them, well, nice.
