Lando's POV

"You're right... it does matter," she agrees, her words like music to my ears as I settle better next to her as she inhales again from the cigarette. "It doesn't change my mind on the whole separation of things," she continues and I just chuckle as I nod.

"I didn't think it would, don't worry Rossi," I affirm her, holding out my fist for a fist bump and she chuckles as she drops the now finished cigarette, my eyes following the nasty habit to the floor before she firmly stamps it out with her foot and pushes it off the main path before returning the fist bump. "Our secret," I agree with her final look as she smirks and opens her bag before spraying perfume on herself to help hide the smell.

"On New York... yeah I know, I miss it as well. London is..." she trails off, a mysterious look painting her face as I wait to see what words come next. "I'm not getting into this with you but yes, I'm looking at going in the next month but I might also just try and coincide it with Miami so as to not be away for too long. I'd fly from Baku straight to New York?" She suggests as we walk back in and I just nod as I listen to what she's saying, getting distracted by the way she moves her hair behind her ear as she talks, the simple action grabbing so much of my attention as her earrings sparkle in the lights leading back to the main event.

"Can I go with you when you go to Nike?" I ask her as we step back into the 'event' area which has now been transformed with a DJ and dance area that very few people are using. "Also I was wondering... do you want to come to Monaco in a couple of weeks? You totally don't have to but the tennis is happening and I thought you might like to join me? Especially without a race for the next month it would be good to still see you. Otherwise how are we meant to get things on the right track early on?" I ask her, using the argument I'd rehearsed with Lucy thirty minutes ago before I went to go and find Daisy. Focus it on work and likely get what I want. Time with Daisy.

Daisy had been right - I liked Lucy a lot and so did Zac when he had walked over, similarly trying to find Daisy in an attempt to set a meeting. I'm pretty sure he was keen to get on good terms with her in a further attempt to keep me here, despite me telling him that it wasn't about teams there was some uncertainty on his part. I also knew Daisy was avoiding that meeting which wasn't helping me because it didn't send the message that I was telling him. Quite probably because it wasn't a message she was wanting to send. She didn't seem to like breaking her word to people, I don't think she wanted to be trapped into anything like that.

"Yeah sure on New York... and Monaco... I probably shouldn't, Luke is not having a great time at the moment and..." she trails off as she looks back over to her table, the smile on her face vanishing in a second and as my eyes follow her I can see why. Luke is sat at the table we abandoned a while ago and now has two women sat on either side of him. "Right now, I have to get him home," she says sharply and moves to march off before I grab her wrist, bringing her focus back to me.

"Accountability matters," I repeat, purposefully looking towards Luke before back to her as I do and she sighs as she rips her hand out of mine. "Daisy..."

"Lando please... I get that we're going to be friendly or whatever, you're getting your way with that because it is only natural but I draw the line here. This is my relationship. So keep your opinions to yourself. That's a rule I have with all friends. Lucy breaks it but she is the exception only because of everything that she has done for me personally," she says slowly, the admission slipping out between me being told off.

"We're going to be friends?" I ask her, the smirk growing on my face as annoyance flashes on hers at my twisting of her words. "Wait - no! Don't say anything else! Just... go and chill with Max, Pietra and Lucy... I'll handle Luke for the next while! You enjoy yourself! It's just what a friend would do!" I volunteer, pushing her in the opposite direction before making a bee-line towards Luke who is blissfully unaware of how much of an ass he is being.
