Daisy's POV

New York had been great. I was in the freaking zone! Breakfast, lunch and dinner meetings in between negotiations and constant updates and other meetings during the day. I was finally able to meet back up with people in the office and in person rather than online which did wonder's for the volume of work we were able to get through. It did mean I was a little exhausted but after planning to take Thursday off for the most part, I knew that I needed to absolute pack my days. So I'd been up at 5am everyday and getting in at midnight every night at the very earliest. The only positive was that I knew that this weekend I would be able to catch up on sleep a little more... even with it being Miami and having many clients of the firm present.

Monday morning was hectic after I'd gotten off the plane. I'd made it into the office for eight am, which was late here and was instantly met with a quick mini team meeting with Lena and the girls before finding out that I was presenting on the motorsports progress in the ten am meeting. With the managing partners that had taken a big gamble on my idea in the first place. That was stressful but Lucy as the angel she is had prepared slides and filled me in ahead of it.

The meeting went well, we had clear optic improvements in the motorsports area and I was able to offer names of some drivers that had since gotten in touch with me in other categories around potential representation which was a good metric for positive work. These were then shared around the room for others to try and approach as I continued my work and focus on Lando.

Following that was a 1-1 lunch meeting with my boss at my favourite restaurant across the street as I gave him a more in-depth private account of the deals I was making and that went better than I could have imagined. He let me know that with Christine about to pass and become a full agent, he was happy to approve not one but two second year interns for my team to help with the ever growing roster as my attention was pulled towards Lando and building reputation further.

After that I was back in the swing of my old life, back before Lando was even on my mind. Meetings after meetings, strategising, chatting, promoting, seeing my American based athletes - all of whom were in town. Both my American football players were based in New York as well as the two basketballers who were coincidentally playing against each other tonight. I'd also had a couple of events with the firm and with said basketballers ahead of the game and with their sponsors. It had been fun. All the insecurities and mess which had come about since Luke and Lindsey was gone, including Lando. Everything was simple.

Even at the game, Lando was in a good mood, the VIP of note it seemed for most people as players from both teams came across to us. Among them was Jimmy Buttler who Lando knew... which it came out as a result of them talking was organised by me back in Lando's rookie season - my first year with Jimmy.

"You're a snitch," I joke with Jimmy as he reveals that I'd gone through Lando's mum to get the hot lap organised with a contact at McLaren and left Lando absolutely stunned.

"Yes but I switched to use you as my agent the moment I was able to. So that has to make up for something right?" He asks with a smile and I roll my eyes as I reluctantly nod in agreement before a photographer comes over to take a photo of the pair of them. I try to sit down but Lando's arm quickly wraps around my waist and pulls me alongside the pair into the middle of the photo.

"I need you to be smaller than me and in the middle so that I don't look so short," Lando jokes as I shake my head but do as he says, fixing my hair as I stand between the pair, smiling for the camera before Jimmy smiles and walks off to continue warm ups.

"You're not short, you're half a foot taller than me," I point out and Lando snorts as though that isn't a proper rejection of his statement and I roll my eyes. "Right now I'm the same height as you and that's only in six inch heels so careful or I'm going to start bringing out my eight inch ones to events," I warn him and again he just shrugs.
