Lando's POV
Damn it was a good day to be alive... quite frankly it felt like some sort of miracle that I ever got back out of Daisy's room with my throat in tact after she found out that I unpacked her boxes. It started with me looking through them because I was curious and then I realised I'd made a bit of a mess and so I needed to put everything back... then I decided it made sense to jus tour things away. She'd been strangely quiet the rest of the week and I'd be worried if it wasn't because she was following the principle of if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all. Which hurt a little but if it was the alternative to telling me off constantly as she and her colleagues worked with their PR department to clean up my 'mess', then I'd take it.
I may have slightly overreacted with her... but it was nothing compared to way that her reaction prompted me to react on Max's stream no less. That was a small regret. Well, actually no it wasn't.
Which only prompted another lecture.
And then a swift apology when I pointed out she asked me to stay out of her personal life so she should also stay out of mine. Especially when there genuinely was nothing going on with the girl in question in this instance. She worked at the same agency as Luisa and Pierre's girlfriend Kika so I'm not sure if she was looking for more but I wasn't.
So I hadn't seen much of Daisy, which for once I would accept was mostly my fault. Maybe 60% however she was busy - what seemed constantly but now I had a way to get her attention. A way that would hopefully make her smile as I get dressed for qualifying day, a smirk on my face as I get ready for her reaction as I leave my room. I move through the flat towards her voice as it carries from the kitchen.
"Good morning!" Daisy says, back turned to me as she focuses on the stove top in front of her. I look to Max who has already caught on and is now silently laughing at my clean shaven face while I take a seat next to Jon who passes me my less than exciting qualifying food compared to the feast Daisy is effectively producing.
"Morning... I think I'm going to be fast today! I've figured out a way to shave off the time," I say, watching Jon chuckle while Max looks near ready to piss himself laughing with how awful the joke is and P silently judges him while giggling. All our eyes looking to Daisy who still doesn't turn around as she checks her phone. My smile falls a little but I try to sit up straight and just eat my cereal, it's not like I did it all for her. Just because I got enough comments yesterday to shave it before I went to bed last night. I already missed if truth be told.
"Good, that's your job," she says simply, prancing towards the coffee machine in her incredibly short pyjama bottoms. I get distracted for a moment before blinking to remind myself that it's Daisy I'm looking at. Something I find I'm forgetting with disgusting frequency.
"Yeah..." I mumble, entirely thrown off as my eyes travel down her legs, the previous reminder doing nothing to stop my apparent need to look. Once happy with that my eyes flick back up her body, now noticing the tight fitting tank top that seems like it's not a match for the bottoms, clinging to her slim physique which I'm noticing for once as her hair is gathered in a messy bun on top of her head.
I'm only knocked out of my head as Jon elbows me in the side to let me know he's caught me and I almost choke on the bowl of cereal that I'm currently eating. The sound finally causes Daisy to turn around as I sit there almost dying. Not the best way to start the day.
"You shaved!" Daisy comments happily, eyes seemingly ignoring the coughing and spluttering as I take a large gulp of milk to try and rid the cereal as it cuts at my throat. I would murder Jon if he didn't look so smug.
"Right - Happy Birthday!" I cheer in response when I can finally breath again. Her eyes go wide but I'm quickly distracted from them as the sound of Max dropping and smashing his coffee cup takes everyone's attention.
