Lando's POV

It was about 4 am when everyone got out of the pool once and for all and that was only because Ollie heard Adam crying and ran off to get him which led to us all checking the time. I'd quickly cursed because Daisy and I were due to get in a car to the airport at 5 am and neither of us were packed. Once I'd communicated that with Daisy and we factored in enough time for me to get yelled at and hit over the head once (although several more attempts were made) we both ran upstairs to pack while everyone else went to bed, the goodbye's not seen as totally needed given we had spent the last twelve hours essentially doing just that.

By some miracle we're both packed and downstairs by the time the car is rolling up the driveway, the only difference between us is Daisy's inability to stay awake after the rush of excitement and panic has flooded her body means that she's almost completely useless as we get in the car. I'm tempted to wake her up to make sure she actually has her passport but decide against it the moment her head falls on my shoulder in the backseat. Instead, I cautiously open her bag, feeling around for it and once confirmed, quickly go back to relaxing as I tell the taxi driver he can now leave.

While she was fast asleep - something that was more than fair given it was now 5 am and we hadn't actually seen our beds other than to place suitcases on top of and panickedly throw clothing into, I was wide awake. You couldn't have paid me to sleep as I ran over my various plans and hopes for the next step of our summer vacation plans. Time with my family and friends had been nice but it hadn't quite given me the fill that I really wanted... They are all great but if things had been successful with Daisy... I didn't want to think about who could hear my success and I didn't think Daisy would want that either. It was probably the singular reason why I had waited this long to really go for it but it was all about to be worth it.

The car drove us all the way up the private jet I had organised and I finally typed out my last message to Max when I saw it coming up.

Can you pls check we didnt leave anything. Didnt have the chance to before. Also not planning on being on phone much - if you need anything youll have to be patient.

I'm about to press send when Daisy's no longer unconscious hand reaches out for my phone. I give it up to her quickly, resting my head against where hers still sleepily rests on my shoulder, and watch as she deletes and rewrites the message for me.

Sorry, we missed you before we left - hope you enjoy your last day in paradise and if you're planning on dropping by Monaco to visit your new amour make sure you use my room and not Daisy's for your... activities😷. Will be largely offline so if there are any crises... good luck and bother Daisy with them!

"What are you doing?" I ask her with amusement as she presses send and passes it back to me.

"Silently correcting your grammar," she murmurs and I chuckle at her, her eyes already closed again as I put my arm around her shoulders and help her get even more comfortable.

"No, now you're loudly correcting my grammar and it's actually really annoying," I whisper my point to her and if she was annoyed, I couldn't tell because her eyes were already closed and any anger was masked on her perfectly peaceful face. "No, no, no, we're almost at the jet. Don't fall back asleep," I quietly beg her, jostling her gently to keep her awake. I'm unsuccessful and while keeping her eyes shut, she uses one hand to paw my head away from her as she keeps herself comfortable on my shoulder. I sigh to myself, hitting my head lightly off my seat before we pull up to a stop beside the jet. "You couldn't stay awake for two more seconds?" I question her unconscious figure but I get no response and groan because, for the second time in a week, I have found myself awkwardly carrying her to the car.
