Daisy's POV
Well I didn't really expect this today... or in general. As the days had passed and I had time to consider my somewhat overdramatic exit from Saudi, I was left feeling less and less convinced that my plan was going to work. However, I'd had no suggestion from Excel that he had chosen someone else at the company and I'd scrolled relentlessly for an announcement elsewhere that he had re-signed with ADD without success. Therefore I'd spent the last week tirelessly building up the perfect basic contract in case he asked me to go to the next race. I'd actually only finished it thirty minutes before he arrived, having been looking for something to busy my hands and my mind so it really was almost serendipity.
Coming home after Saudi was... well... it was fine. Luke was on good behaviour, seemingly thrilled that I was back here with him. I'd had some form of gift every day and while I didn't like to admit that I could be bought... it helped. Well, that and the fact that the sex was really good and he was hot. Even if there weren't many good thoughts going through his head, he was hot enough to be a model and rich enough to not need to. As far as I could tell, he spent his time going between bars and restaurants and honestly I'm not sure what else he did but he seemed to enjoy himself. Well that was an understatement.
"You should get going?" I suggest to Lando, watching the smile fall off his face a little as I pull my hand from his, ending the impulsive moment of reminiscing as my eyes met his and something in them left me wanting to run once more. "I'll get the changes done, pass it through our lawyers and forward it to you and your lawyers if you or someone who works for you can call and leave names and numbers with, Lena."
"No need," he says simply following a sigh, leaning over to grab a pen from on top of my desk and the papers once more, scrawling down names before passing it to me. "There you go. The final one is my number... I expect a message from you in the next two hours. From your personal phone and your work phone, just so I know that I have both. I personally don't need the work one I don't think but it seems like the best way to ensure that I have both," he says or instructs it seems, eyes filled with warning as I just nod and walk him to the door and back down the stairs. I'd like to disagree and fill the silence but I don't have the patience to do it right now - not when I was so close to a signed deal.
I have to agree with him on one point, it is far more like a house than a home sometimes... very old fashioned but it was where I lived. It was fancy, it was rich and I liked the finer things. "Right well... thanks for stopping by Lando," I tell him with a smile, waiting until he has pulled his shoes on before I open the door for him.
"Babe, close the door you're letting in a draft," I hear Luke complain before I see him, stopping Lando as he was part way through the process of putting his rucksack on, getting distracted by the sound and the footsteps heading towards us.
"Sorry honey, I was just showing Lando out," I tell him simply, watching as he turns the corner and comes to stand in front of us, all six feet of him, muscular like a surfer and topped off with bright blonde hair that was a little longer than normal right now but styled fairly effortlessly atop his head.
"Holy shit you're Lando Norris," he says, his blue eyes widening as he looks at Lando standing near the doorway. I quickly give up on Lando leaving and instead close the door as he looks between the two of us. "Since when were you representing him?"
"Since after the Australian Grand Prix next week," I tell him, smiling apologetically at Lando who is looking at the scene in front of him as though we're a puzzle and he's struggling to figure out how the pieces fit together. I cross the floor and stand next to Luke, wrapping one hand around his waist in the form of a side hug before I rest my head lightly on his chest and feel him automatically place one hand on my waist and a kiss on my head.
