For the first time in I think my life, a bit of rage went through my body. A strange feeling but in so many ways it seems like I am protective of Natalie and we really or just barely know each other, well at least some of the major details of each others past.
I plan to change not knowing her much through this date and see where things go because I do guienely like her. What I didn't count on is her Mother being so crude or rude towards her oldest daughter. Accidents happen and Natalie shouldn't carry guilt around all her life for what happened. When she told me her story well there is nothing she could've done, it was not her fault and for her Mother at the very least hold her accountable is wrong which I honestly will not tolerate in the slightest.
Natalie is bouncing in the seat some as we pass by different things. At one point, I purposely slowed my car down and made it look like I was fixing to pull into a fancy restaurant which had her squealing 'No'. That was hilarious because she was worried about being undressed for that place and sure we might be but shouldn't matter either, but the foods not the best there either. Quality and taste over high price junk that one can't even get full off of any day in my book.
After I left the hospital I went to Eve and honestly got her opinion on where to go for this date tonight. I wasn't sure on a couple options and knew my sister could make it seem so simple because well she is also a girl and if one thing I know is that something it is hard to figure out exact what I need to do for females. I only know from the ones around me what they like and I had a panic moment of what do I do.
"Please?" Natalie whines from the passenger seat once more.
"We are just about there." I chuckle. "You know I didn't think adults were like this." I tease.
"Well a ten minute drive has officially felt like an hour."
"You don't have patience?" I ask with a teasing smile.
"Well." Natalie sighs and slumps back in the seat. "No."
I can't help but laugh fully and she smiles over at me when I spare a fast glance. "Wait no more because we are here."
"Here!" Natalie perks up fast and looks around. "Where is here?" She mumbles and I smirk while putting the car in park and turning it off.
I round the car and open her door, but can't help but laugh as she looks around. I purposely parked in the back of the place to where she is not aware and I hope I picked the right thing with Eve's help. It helps that Eve knew the owner of this place due to her husband.
"So where are we? There is a building and I don't think it is nothing scary but if it is I am out."
"You wouldn't run on me." I tease.
"Oh buddy you got one thing to learn about me when I see a goose and I will leave you high and dry. If you are in my way then you get plowed over and tread marks left on your skin. I will leave anyone in that moment." Natalie is so serious I have no doubt she means every word.
"Good to know your fear is geese." I smile.
"They are feather devils." She shivers and I don't think it is from the cold. "Anything you fear?"
"Sure, lots of things." I shrug.
"Hmm. Name one then." She smirks.
"Don't laugh but I am afraid of a year with no snow."
"I could see that for where we live it be odd and bad if no snow so guess I can see that. Any animal you fear?" She talks while we slowly walk to the front of the building.
"A mouse." I shrug. "Okay well yes I fear them, it is not like the high scream. I honestly just don't like them for the fact it is hard to keep them out of things and will destroy so much and eat all the food that isn't theirs."
"Now that I really agree with you on." She nods.
"So any ideas where we are at?" I ask right before we round the corner to show the front.
"Nope. I am excited to find out though." She bounces with her step.
She pulls me faster behind her and then gasps with a small squeal before she squeezes my hand. "Are you serious?"
"I hope it is okay. If not I will gladly take you else where."
"Don't you dare, it has been years but I always loved bowling." Natalie smiles and her eyes shine bright in the lights that glow from the neon lights we are now under.
We go in and I pay for a couple games in advance as she gets her shoes on the guy gave her and I while I was paying for things. We get to our lane and she gets to putting in names on the board.
"Really?" I laugh when looking up at the board with the names she put up.
Ruldolph and Clairce.
"Why not? You are all about Christmas and I want to get back in the spirit this year. I can say it is something about you that has got me involved and even seeing your sister at the store that day, plus Chrissy is into it this year."
I smile and nod. "Well we have to pick our balls."
Natalie busts out laughing the loudest I have ever heard her. "Did you really just say that?"
"What?" I look at her then it clicks. "Oh." I clear my throat.
"Well if I had to choose it should be pretty obvious the ones I am considering." She smirks.
I raise an eyebrow. "This has gotten far away from bowling. Thing is could you handle it?" I tease.
Natalie thinks on it and then smirks. "It be an awful tight fit since I wouldn't honestly know but I think the right guy could get me to handle it."
I step up behind her once she turns her back to the rack of balls to choose from. Leaning down in her ear, "Do you think I could be the right one?"
"Yes." She answers breathlessly.
I grab the weighted ball I have always used and make it back to the lane. I need a moment to cool down and from her fast breathing, it would be safe to say she needed a moment too. I readjust my jeans to try and will the tool to go down and try to think of anything other than what just happened.
"You know I heard just think of this being your balls going down the lane could help." Natalie steps back over and smirks.
"That would be painful." I grimace but it works enough to where it is not so noticeable.
"You're welcome for that." She teases then gets up since she bowls first.
Just that like seeing her perky behind brings the boy right back up. Maybe bowling was not the best of ideas for a first date getting to know each other before it got to being more than teasing because I rather wait a couple dates especially if what she said means she is a virgin.
