My phone pings and I see it is Chrissy's number. I answer the facetime call and immediately see Natalie and everyone surrounding her.
We had all been involved in planning this surprise for Natalie. I can see the raw emotions on her face as the baby shower is in full swing. Aunt Massie had a friend that is a professional massage therapist from the hospital go out tonight and gave them all massages. This was Chrissy's idea to have me on facetime to see it all since I can't actually be there with Natalie, so it is nice she has her phone set on a tripod on the arm of her wheelchair.
"How is the new soon to be father doing?" Uncle Tony walks in startling me.
I see Dad, Grandpa and even Phin come in with Uncle Tony.
"I am doing great. Just waiting on the results from the scan still the nurse said Dr. Moore has been busy today. Otherwise, I am currently on facetime watching the baby shower." I smile.
"Well do that as you want too of course, but we thought a pre-extra early bachelor party or well Dad shower sounded great for you." Uncle Tony smiles and then puts a couple bags on the foot of the bed.
"Dad shower? Really, Tony, that just sounds weird. It isn't like we are bathing Nicolas. Hell I haven't had to do that since he was like four." Dad rolls his eyes with an amused smirk.
"Well they call it a baby shower and it's not like they can actually bath the baby still in the moms stomach now can they." Uncle Tony comes back.
Phin laughs at them and pats my back. "Got you some chinese take out along with the rest of us. Then figured if you feel up for it maybe a mean game of monoplay?"
"I am always up for a board game." I nod.
I get up and wash up then help Phin move the paper plates around. The last couple days I have been back in my own clothes even if it's just sweats and a t-shirt it feels so much nicer than that hosptial gown.
"So are you two gonna keep at it like siblings or come eat? Because I can eat all of this right now." I smirk getting Dad and Uncle Tony's attention. Grandpa just chuckles from the chair as he eats his food.
We all sit around and talk about random things as the food is finished off. I keep a watch on my phone as I can't help but smile watching the ladies have their fun while we are having ours, even if mine is a surprise as well. Everyone one of us get to laughing when we tell Phin about the baby shower Mama had with Eve and everything we even got involved with.
The monoplay game is in full swing when Natalie walks back in and smiles so wide.
"Have fun?" I ask and she nods then asks the same and I reply the same.
Everyone hugs us both and Natalie lets me know that our moms are putting all the baby gifts in our house for us.
"That was unexpected and so much fun." Natalie hums happily while she lays on the bed next to me once everyone has left.
