"Who is ready to go see when they flip the lights on?" Nicolas looks over and Duke leans over with him where Chrissy, Eve, and I have been talking away over our funnel cake with the tiniest of green and red sprinkles.
The three of us ladies hold our hands in the air since they just had to ask when we took a bite. We snicker and Duke grabs Eve and puts his arm around her as Nicolas starts to push Chrissy so she can still eat and myself can as well.
Once we make it over to a corner we see that others have started gathering as well. It is not overly crowded tonight since it is still a school night which has made it more enjoyable not constantly hitting elbows. I never thought it would be this much fun and was worried it would be awkward but it hasn't in the least.
The lights pop on and there are so many colors we all gasps and take in the different walking paths bathed in the thousands of lights. A arm sneaks around my waist and I look up to see Nicolas smile as he pulls me closer to him.
I put my hands on his chest as I finished the funnel cake on the walk over. Raising up on my tip toes, I lean into him more and his hand comes up to cup my cheek and he leans to me. Our lips meet and how soft his lips are.
The kiss is so sweet and gentle as we seem to be in rhythm together. I pull back once needing oxygen in my lungs and can feel as my entire body is on fire and my cheeks feel as if they are burning the hottest they ever have.
I look over and see Eve and Duke in the same position having probably shared a kiss too and Chrissy is snickering but looking away.
Nicolas chuckles and pecks a few light kisses to my lips before he puts his arm around my waist.
"What are you snickering about?" I whisper in Chrissy's ear.
"Lip locked." Chrissy gets out and laughs more.
I stand back up straight and rest into Nicolas's embrace. That was the best lip lock ever that is for sure and I am glad I have shared my first date and kiss with him. I didn't think there was a man for me like this but he has been a prince.
This night definitely couldn't have been any better than it is right now. I would've laughed in someones face should they had told me I would be here three months ago but here I am and can honestly say I have never been happier. My only hope is this isn't to good to be true and that love can exist for me, because I think my heart is leading me there if not is already there really.
