A week has passed since Nicolas recieved his transplant. Everything has been going so unbelieveably well too. Not a single scare or nothing all the tests have been showing his body is accepting the transplant and we have been trying our hardest not to start celebrating just yet. At least not until we get todays scans back to see if the cancer is gone completely or at least lessen to shown it is being killed off.
Jack came in after he had woke up fully from his dontation just as he had told Nicolas he would. Although he was on pain medication this time afterwards from what Hollie had said. To me though it made the night hilarious and now I know exactly where Nicolas can get his humor from, not that it took much to know that in the first place.
Jack did come in the day of Nicolas's transplant and was red as ever apologizing for his humor the night prior. I waved it off because to me it was funny and not the least bit wrong because it made mine and Nicolas' night to see the love his parents have for each other. Makes me hope that Nicolas and I will be the same once we get of that age together. It was funny to see Hollie have her hands full with Jack all sore but definitely wanting a piece of his Snowflake.
Nicolas since the transplant as been glowing even more by the day and back to the man I knew before the cancer came back with vengeance. His strength isn't to the max it used to be but that is all normal but he is regaining it quicker than thought he would.
"How is the book going?" I look over sitting down my tablet that I have been playing some games on. Still feels weird when not working but it has been nice literally doing nothing but what Nicolas or I may need. Although, I keep wanting to clean so bad so this hospital room stays spotless and housekeeping laughs at me but that is what those travel pack of antibacterial wipes are amazing for.
"It is doing great. I think a couple more pages and then I will go in and start to look over it." Nicolas looks up and smiles.
"You have been working hard on it over there."
"As long as we aren't playing a card or board game this comes and I am just wasting time. Feels funny having this one at this point in such a short time of actually working on it. All that I have left is putting it on the digital verison type up and Eve said she would get the pictures made for me once I figure out about what I want."
"Well you weren't able to think clearly for work and now since feeling better you have had time." I smile wide matching his.
Lunch is served and I actually leave the room to grab something for myself at the cafeteria.
"What's up waddles?" I hear Massie's rushed footsteps catching up to me in the hall since I got out of the elevator at the food court floor.
"Just getting some lunch for myself. Nicolas got a good tray today so he is set and doesn't need anything." I smile and she matches mine with a nod.
"Perfect!" Hollie pops up on my other side out of no where. "Sorry didn't mean to startle you." She smiles sheepishly while rubbing my arm.
"Don't need her going into labor early Holls." Massie huffs before smiling.
