Nicolas Winters is now thirty years old and has been cancer free for over twenty years. He has since finished school and a successful writer of children's books while doing photography on the side to keep busy.

"Natalie. You are the love of my life that I never thought I would find. There is so much that will always remain unknown but the one thing I can say I know with all my heart is how much love I have for you. You and our son take up the love I have and it is yours alone. You are my rock to lean on and seem to always know what to say or how to push me to do more or to be better when no one else could. You make me want to live and fight for the future that lays ahead of us." Nicolas breaths out with a smile.
Natalie smiles while holding back a tear trying to escape, making her let out a shaking laugh. They stand hand in hand while inside to home of Ophalia and Ethan. Natalie stands barefoot in a long red satin dress, while Nicolas is in a suit with a red Christmas themed tie. Little Chrisopher is held by Chrissy while her wheelchair is just behind Natalie standing in front of the Justice of The Peace. Just as they had planned for their offical wedding a few days before Christmas.
"Nicolas." Natalie smiles after wiping that single tear away. "I knew from the start you were different. It took me a little bit to figure out the feelings I had for you and can say you are my first love and I want you to be my last. You have brought an all new life to me and gave me so much to look forward to while pulling me out of a deep place I didn't realize I was staying in. My love is yours to have. I promise to cherish the love you give me and to always be here for you no matter what we may face because I know that if we face it together nothing is to hard. Let's grow old together with our families surrounding us as we cherish our love together."
Rings are placed on each other and Natalie can offically wear the complete ring set in front of their families and friends as they still held the first ceremony a secret for them two alone. Natalie turns and picks up Chrisopher from Chrissy so that her and Nicolas can kiss his small cheeks as they move to the middle of the room as everyone pulls them in for hugs.
"Let me see my little Birdie!" Holly smiles and takes Chrisopher from Natalie as Jack pushes Natalie and Nicolas towards the cake.
"You two need to cut this thing so we can eat. The smell of it has been killing me all day long and for once I'm in dire need of dessert before the main course." Jack laughs and everyone agrees.
Natalie and Nicolas cut the cake and everyone indulges on the cherry vanilla flavors before eating their main course meal that was ordered for delivery to keep anyone from cooking.
The rest of the day is spent talking, laughing, and dancing around. Natalie and Nicolas don't have plans for a honeymoon immediately but Ophalia and Ethan did surprise them with a grand trip to a New Years retreat where there is many options they could do while being baby friendly, for an entire week that is planned for right after the first of the year. Natalie and Nicolas are beyond excited for the trip.
A Couple Of Days Later...
Christmas Day is finally here as Natalie and Nicolas wake up to their newborn sons cries. Natalie is quick to tend to her little son as Nicolas gets started on breakfast. Together they tend to everything they need and Nicolas feeds Natalie some of her breakfast as she is feeding Chrisopher.
"Merry Christmas, Angel." Nicolas kissses Natalie lightly as she stands from placing Chrisopher in his bassinet.
"Merry Christmas Nicolas."
"Can you believe just barely over a year ago we had just started dating and to be here now?"
"I wouldn't want to change nothing and I am so happy for our second Christmas. Last year was so much fun but this year I think is going to be even better." Natalie smiles while wrapping her arms around Nicolas's waist.
"Hmm. Every year will just get better and better especially as Chrisopher gets older."
"That is so very true and I can't wait to see how he may respond and react to everything. It is fun seeing already how he is different on things while he is showing us his likes and dislikes."
"I can't believe he cries when the song about Christmas trees comes on." Nicolas huffs with a smile.
"His way of telling you he is not a fan of that song." Natalie giggles.
Nicolas and Natalie spend the day split between their parents houses and are exhausted while over stuffed with food by the time they get Chrisopher into his bassinet by the couch.
As they sit down on their couch together, Nicols turns on a holiday film while Natalie hands him a hot chocolate.
"I love you so much Angel. There is so much I could say thank you for but it truly isn't enough because of you I think that is the reason I fought the cancer so hard this last time. Sure, I have my family but you coming into my life gave me even more to fight for and I wanted more Christmas' like this together. Truly it wasn't much of a Christmas Wish but more of Save My Sparkle you done by saving my life in so many ways."
"I love you Nicolas and I could say the same for you. I was in a hole that just was the same everyday but you came along and brought that holiday cheer back to me and my family. No matter what you say, I believe you were meant to be my patient at first just to Save My Sparkle and now we have forever."
Nicolas kisses Natalie tenderly as the Christmas lights glow around them and the low hums of the movie play in the background. They will forever enjoy and cherish their time together as they watch their son grow with their family and friends surrounding them.
