I wake earlier than normal from the sleep I get in the evenings after the chemo treatment. Today though I feel a little bit better and not nauseous like it had been normal after chemo either. The nausea normally last all day after chemo but not this time.
Natalie isn't here but she visits with her sister while I rest in the evening after a treatment. Something I am glad she does even though Chrissy does visit here some too, it is good Natalie gets out of the hospital for a period of time a couple times a week since the days she doesn't visit she is working.
"There is my baby." Grandma whisper cries when she comes from around the corner with Grandpa.
"Hi Grandma." I smile and glad I am already sitting up from moving my bed when I woke up.
I move my paper and pen to the side table next to me since I was working with some ideas that came to me while sleeping. Writing has been hard with all of this but sometimes I have gotten a couple things wrote down but nothing even close to starting the next book yet.
"Stupid conference held us up this time." Grandpa grunts as he hugs me.
He is just a bit faster than Grandma but she went to the couch first to place something down. Waiting her turn though, she hugs me tight barely giving Grandpa room to move.
"Where were you guys at for the conference?"
"Italy." Grandpa sighs before sitting in the chair.
"It is beautiful this time of year Nicolas. You really need to travel once out of here." Grandma smiles.
"Sounds like he may need to travel once he marries Natalie." Grandpa smiles.
"That would be the perfect wedding gift Ethan! There you go Nicolas tell us where you and Natalie want to honeymoon and your grandparents will pay for it all." Grandma smiles and gets excited.
We get to talking about so many different places they have travelled. Then we end up talking about what is going on.
"I brought this for you and then this for Natalie." Grandma opens the one bag she brought in with her.
There is a small handmade blanket she has made that she places on my bed.
"Thank you so very much Grandma. This will definitely be appreciated and used because it gets very cold at times." I smile as she places it a specific way on the bed to where I can pull it up easily.
Grandma brought one for Natalie as well and lays it over the back of the couch for her.
I hear the door open and close again this time Natalie walks around the curtain. "Hey." She smiles wide when she sees me awake.
"Hi Angel. How was your visit?" I ask her.
"It was good." She nods and then looks to my grandparents. "It is so nice to see you again Ethan and Ophalia, so glad you guys could make it in."
