40. For You Always

It is surreal how just a few weeks time can pass us by in a blink of an eye, as now March has took over and the weather taking a turn for spring time upon us.

Natalie and I have been with Eve quite a bit in these past weeks as she heals and recovers from having my nephew. Duke has went through work shifts and helps when he is home of course but they both have been exhausted so we will go to watch Hinsel while they get some sleep or just simply shower.

Then I have been helping Dad and Uncle Tony at the photography shop since they have had so many scheduled from where Eve was booked. Her being induced early made it to where I needed to go in and help so there wasnt a need to reschedule all the clients. So my writing has been a little slow but I have more than enough time since there is not even a set date on the next book set as of yet.

Today however, is a day for Natalie and I. She thinks I came out to town to get groceries. While I done that yesterday for us she doesn't realize that since I cooked she never looked in the pantry. No this trip today is to pick up her ring at the jewelry store, they finished it almost two months early and I am not complaining in the least.

I am not hiding the ring for any length of time either. No, tonight I am taking her out and going to ask her to marry me. One thing I want is for her to know how much I love her and make us forever. Nerves are there with hope she will like this ring.

"I'm home." I call out once inside and taking my jacket off with the ring in the inside pocket.

"Hey." Natalie smiles coming out from the spare bedroom with her cleaning bucket. "Perfect time. I got bored after the last patient call."

Natalie has set up a mini work station in the spare room to where she doesn't have to always go to the hospital unless it is for in person meetings. Something that I have enjoyed we both can just work here and seems to calm us because we know we aren't far apart from one another. Although, we made the spare room sound proof to keep all the calls private and confidental then there is also no concern for me going in there because it just isn't my business. "Where are the groceries?" She looks at me with a raised eyebrow.

"I say I would truly enjoy that. It has been a couple weeks since we went out on a date."

"I know and I am taking you somewhere new tonight."

"Jeans and shirt. I don't figure you would like to wear a dress for tonights date." "Are you sure you're up for going out though? We could order out and spend the night in front of the television. We could both just sleep and rest, since we hadn't really been getting a lot and you still look tired."

"I will be just fine and feel fine." I nod then smile again.

Natalie smiles wide to mirror mine own. "Okay then, give me like thirty minutes to shower and I will be ready."

She dashes for the bedroom and that makes Tootles leave me and ran after her. He is never to far from her but has been loving on me just a bit more lately than he normally does.

It isn't a lie I feel fine currently and it may be the happiness running through me. I had been feeling tired every since a little before Valentine's day but I am not letting that stop me. Besides it has been busy for the entire family and such happy moments.
