"Are you sure about this An?" Y/N asked. "It'll be fine! We've been dating for a while now so why wouldn't he accept you?" An cheerfully said. Y/N just stared at her, distressed. "Stop worrying so much!" An said. "But your dad is the Ken! That makes the situation ten times worse!" Y/N groaned.
"ハニー, (look at bottom for translation), don't worry." An held Y/N's hand to calm him down. "I'm sure my dad will love you." An looked deeply into Y/N's eyes. "Yeah, right." Y/N took a deep breath and felt relaxed. An squeezed Y/N's hand tighter to keep him calm.
Y/N abruptly stopped walking once he saw the front door of An's house. An turned back and smiled. "Remember what we talked about. Breath and keep a calm demeanor." An squeezed his hand again. "Ok, let's go in." Y/N said.
An let go of Y/N's hand and opened the front door. "Dad! I'm home!" An yelled. She gestured Y/N to come inside. Ken popped his head out from the kitchen but froze when he saw Y/N. He noticed and awkwardly smiled at Ken.
Ken walked out of the kitchen, still in his apron, and awkwardly stared at Y/N. "Who is this?" He asked. "Dad, this is my boyfriend, Y/N." Ken glanced at his daughter and back at Y/N. "Dad meet Y/N. Y/N meet my dad."
Ken stretched his hand out to Y/N. Y/N wiped his hands on his pants/shorts/whatever you want to wear and shook Ken's hand. Ken pulled his hand away and headed back to the kitchen. "I just finished dinner. Did you want to join us?" He asked. "Yes sir." Y/N said but quickly facepalmed. An chuckled at the interaction and went to the dinner table.
Everyone sat down and started eating. There was a extremely awkward silence accompanied by the sound of them chewing their food. "So, Y/N,"
Y/N immediately froze and looked at Ken. "Why do you want to date my daughter?" Y/N glanced at An and back at Ken. "Actually, we've been dating for a couple months now.."
Ken paused and looked at An. An just grinned and continued to eat. "Right.." Ken said. "Is there any dating rules that I should be aware of?" Y/N asked to break the awkwardness. Ken sighed and stood up. "Just don't do anything stupid." He said and walked back into the kitchen.
"Did I mess it up?" Y/N whispered to An. "No, don't worry. He's just in shock." An said. An looked at her phone and stood up. "Dad! We have to go! I'll come back later!" She grabbed Y/N's arm and left to find the rest of Vivid Bad Squad.

1. Should I use more Japanese translations in my stories? Or is that kinda racist? For example: 'Gomen! Mizuki-San wanted me to try on some of their clothes!'
2. I've never experienced this situation before so I had some issues writing this.
