Mizuki Akiyama x Fem!Reader (Part 3)

Author's Note (please read): Hi! I'm so sorry it's been so long since I've written anything! I'm finally back and I'm now on Summer Break so I can try to write again. I'll try my best to catch up on requests but for now please let me do things at my own pace before I start turning into a chat gpt essay writer XD

I slowly woke up with Mizuki's arms still wrapped around my waist. They unconsciously pulled me closer as I turned to them with blush on my face. "Mizuki..." I whispered to try to wake them up. They shuffled a little but remained asleep. I huffed before leaning towards their ear. "Mizuki..." I whispered again yet they flinched and smacked me in the face.

"Ah! What the!" I groaned and rubbed my temples. "Sorry sorry!" Mizuki giggled before sitting up. "Good morning~!" Mizuki hummed. "You were cuddling me in your sleep y'know." I muttered before stretching my arms. Mizuki glanced away from me in embarrassment. "Aha, no I wasn't." "Yes, you were."

"How about I make us some breakfast!" Mizuki quickly jumped up with a smile. "Eh? I guess. Wait but didn't you almost burn the kitchen down last time?" I narrowed my eyes at them. "That was only one time, I'm much better now!" "I don't care. I'm going to help." I stood up and walked over to the door, still in the pajamas they gave me.

In the kitchen, Mizuki grabbed a pan and some ingredients to make (breakfast of your choosing). I reached over to start to stove as we both waited for it to heat up. "...Mizuki?" "Yes~?" "Why have you been trying to hang out with me all the time this week?" I turned to them and tilted my head in confusion. "What? Can I not hang out with my best friend?" Mizuki teased yet the title they gave seemed forced.

"I'm just saying, you haven't really tried getting this close to me before yet..." I leaned in close to their face. "Yet you've been acting different towards me lately." Mizuki blushed a little yet kept eye contact. "You're acting like it's not obvious."

"You're right. I have been acting weirdly. You just," "No need to continue, I know." I gave a closed eye smile before starting to cook breakfast. Mizuki stood there in shock yet felt a little disappointed. After a few minutes breakfast was ready and I sat on the counter as I started to eat.

"You've always been like that." Mizuki broke the silence as they stared at me, leaning against the counter. "What do you mean?" I raised an eyebrow at them. "I mean you're always observant. Yet once you point out something you try to ignore it as if it makes you uncomfortable. Do I make you uncomfortable?" Mizuki frowned. "No. I just don't know what to say." I glanced away.

"You already know but you keep ignoring it! Do you even like me? I've given you everything. Just please accept me!" Mizuki placed their hands on the counter of either side of my body, trapping me on the counter. "I do..." I muttered. "Then why don't you act like it? Do you want me to say it myself? I like you okay?! Stop being weird!" Mizuki whined and pouted at me.

I paused for a moment before pulling them into a quick kiss. "I will always like you Mizuki. In fact, I adore you. You always make sure you look all dolled up and pretty. You're not afraid to be yourself. And...you're brave enough to even like me." I reached for their hand and interlocked our fingers together.

"You really think of me that way?" Mizuki looked at me in shock. "Of course I do. I love you." I smiled warmly. Mizuki grinned and returned to their playful self. They wrapped their arms around my neck and hugged me tightly. "I love you too (Name)!" They giggled as I pat their back.
