Ares got his call next, a dragon twice his size. Followed by Elias who had an elephant.
A snake, a dragon and an elephant. Kai was proud of how his team was shaping up to be.
Then there was Mira, unknowingly making him the proudest. All she had done the past four weeks is fail at everything and yet, she made Kai the happiest. Always there, day and night, failing miserably at everything and not giving up.
"I GIVE UP." She groaned out, slumping onto the ground.
Who was he kidding?
"No." Kai rejected her and started to climb down the tree.
"How are you doing that Kai?" She asked as she watched him climbing down the tree with his eyes, and feet tied.
"By not giving up." He said in a snarky manner and she rolled her eyes.
"Tie my hands too now." Kai ordered as Mira glared at her show off of a master.
Kai had started to call all of them by their names, other than her, the sore loser.
"I'm not your servant." She said pouting a little but getting up to do it still." Kai, why can't I get anything right? I promise I'm trying. It's been almost two months now and everyone has started to improve in some sort of way. Other than me."
"Gael has not gotten his call yet either." He stated and she shook her head.
"Yes but we all know how smart he is. Lazy but smart."
"Keep working brat." He simply stated as she finished tying his feet together.
"How many fingers?" She asked moving her hands for a while to confuse him but then holding up three, using two fingers on one hand and one on the other one. Kai could feel the little joy her voice held after the dejecting day. She was getting more and more upset each day. It was true, she had barely improved even though she worked harder each day than the one before.
"Three." He said, smiling a little.
"Show off." She mumbled before getting back to her training area.
Just another sweaty day for Mira.
This time, she however heard a thump. She looked at Kai on the ground, groaning a little.
"Oh my God you fell! You fell! Kai you fall too? Woah, OH MY GOD YOU'RE NOT PERFECT TOO!" She ran to help him by untying his hands.
"Yes, How clumsy of me." He smiled a little at her happiness. "But tie me up again, I have to practice till I get it right."
Mira then suddenly looked at him.
Was he pretending to fall to give her some hope? She looked at him directly in his eyes and blushed a little.
"Okay. I'll keep trying too. No sadness about failing." She was about to walk back to her mat when he called her. "You're forgetting something."
She smiled and turned around holding her hand up, "How many fingers?"
"Three."
"Liar, you know there's five." She said as he chuckled.
"I thought there were three."
"Liar."
"Go back home now, trouble. We have a mission tomorrow." He said casually before climbing up the long tree but got stunned when Mira went absolutely quiet.
"Trouble?"
"WE HAVE A MISSION! A MISSION YIPPEE! I'LL HAVE A MISSION FINALLY YES. I'M OFFICIALLY A SHINOBI. AND I'LL EARN NOW. I'M GONNA BE SO COOL!" She said excited, causing Kai to grin at her before jumping down and freeing himself from the ropes.
