Elias tried day and night every day to break through the shell Mira had made around her. He had no idea what was wrong, but he was absolutely devastated since the day she walked back into practice.
She had been acting like a shadow of her own self. Gael and Ares were also alarmed. But it had hit Elias the hardest.
"Watch where you're going!" Nina snapped when Mira bumped into her accidentally whilst running around.
"Oh, uh sorry." Mira mumbled walking away nonchalantly as Nina's eyes widened.
Had she just apologized?
"M, can we please talk? I'm just worried about you." He said running up to Mira.
"I'm okay." Mira said with a small smile.
Elias looked into her hollow eyes and frowned. Gael and Ares also watched the interaction, but gave them space in case Mira allows Elias to help her out.
"No, you definitely are not. It's so clear M. I don't want you to tell me what's wrong, if you don't want to. I just..." He looked at her, feeling dejected.
"I just want you to be okay." Elias said.
Mira's eyes softened looking at him.
"E... I'm so sorry." She mumbled looking down.
"What's wrong Mira, tell me." He requested unknowing of the snake slithering towards them.
"Elias Silo's going to attack you!" Gael said out loud trying to break their conversation.
Mira's eyes widened as Elias screamed and ran away from the snake as it just slithered past her to bite him. She rapidly chased after the snake to catch her and stop her from attacking Elias.
It all became too chaotic after.
"KAAAIIIIIIIIIII!" Mira screamed.
Kai flashed in front of her in three seconds.
"GET YOUR STUPID SNAKE OFF OF MY BEST FRIEND!" She screamed as Silo started biting Elias everywhere.
Once she had asked Kai for it, the snake slithered away.
"Were you skipping on training Elias?" Kai asked.
"No, he was speaking with me. But why did Silo not bite me Kai? I am your student aren't I?" Mira chuckled darkly. Kai narrowed his eyes slightly. She looked terrible.
Well not ugly terrible, just sad.
"Yes, exactly my point." Kai said, sighing. "I'm very busy Mira."
The others gasped profoundly, grabbing their attention.
"Just go." Mira whispered. He opened his mouth, as if to say something but just nodded and left.
The others stared at the interaction with utter confusion. What had happened in this mission?
"What?" Mira snapped at them.
"He just... he just called you Mira. By your name. Sir Kai acknowledged you finally!" Ares said out of joy.
"What happened on this mission dude?" Gael asked.
"I'm happy for you M." Elias said, referring to Kai calling her by her name.
Mira felt like she was suffocating.
"I'm done for the day guys. See you tomorrow, at the competition. Bye."
"M wai-" Before Elias could stop her, she was gone.
"Bud, let's train now. I think she wants to be alone for a while." Gael said, giving Elias a comforting pat.
