Elias felt horrible the whole night, and he still had no idea what had happened, where Mira was or where to even find her. Never had he ever been invited inside the nicer part of the land let alone to a chief's house. He was more confused as to why the chief's daughter was absent when he was present.

Nothing was comprehensible but he swore he saw Mira in the crowd before she vanished. Vanished for good that is, the past few days there was no sign of hers.

He had even asked Kai, who seemed to be just as lost about Mira's whereabouts. Nina barely said a word when asked, Ares and Gael seemed to not have seen her either.

So here he was, sitting alone at the orphanage answering the kid's questions about Mira. They refused to go to bed tonight after the past few excuses he got away with.

"Does she not like us anymore?"

"Did we make her mad at us?"

"Is she okay?"

All questions Elias, Becky and Elizabeth had to deal with all night before bed. Elias had briefly explained that she's just been busy, but decided not to expand on it.

"Hey." He heard a voice snap him out of his thoughts. He looked at Gael standing there, yawning.

"Hi." He said nervously. He had not yet spoken to him directly other than asking about Mira.

"We have a private mission to attend. Let's go." He said and started to walk away without looking back at him or providing much information.

Elias hurried after Gael, "What mission?"

Gael stayed quiet with a bored look on his face as he walked. Elias stared at him for a few seconds before looking away, realizing he would not answer.

"Have you heard from Mira yet?" Gael asked after a while as he walked. Elias observed how slow he walked as he tried to maintain unison with him.

"No." Elias said, still dejected about that night. Three days and Mira's whereabouts were unknown. "She must be so upset."

"Why?" Gael asked, a bit curiously yet with a glare.

"Why?" Elias asked back, not understanding his question. Was it not obvious why Mira was upset?

"Whatever." He rolled his eyes, dropping the conversation. Elias realized they were heading towards Kai's house.

Surprising himself, he was disappointed about Gael. It bothered him a bit that Gael failed to see how Mira could even be upset.

"You know..." He spoke up but then chose to shut up. Gael was a chief's son, from a very well-respected family. What else could he expect?

"Gael, Elias." They heard Kai from behind them, they turned around to see him sitting on top of a tree.

"I wanted to assign you both to a more personal mission of sorts. It's not an official one hence it's not being assigned by the council." He said and waited for them to either object or ask more questions.

"Find trouble and get her back here." He sighed. Gael glared at him.

"You do it if you're so concerned." He said. Elias frowned at his words.

"It's not a wish I'm bestowing upon you Gael. It's an order from me. Get her back here." Kai said glaring which caused Gael to get intimidated.

"Okay master Kai, we'll be back." He said and started to walk away as Gael followed his lead.

"Do you really not care about her?" Elias asked after a while of just walking towards Mira's house.

"I don't know her well enough." Gael replied, still bored.
