"Why are you late?! And where's Elias?" Gael asked as soon as he opened his door to Mira alone.
"I don't know?" She shrugged trying not to get mad at the mention of his name.
That traitor of a best friend. Like she would know where he was!
Mira had been successfully avoiding her best friend for the past few hours, much to Elias's dismay.
"I'm here, I'm here!" Gael heard Elias's panting as he ran towards them.
"Finally! Where have you been?" Gael asked impatiently.
"Where has who been? I don't see anyone." Mira glared towards Gael, avoiding Elias's gaze.
"M, come on! I'm sorry, please forgive me."
"Will you tell me who it is?!" Mira asked with anger evident in her eyes.
"Um..." Elias nervously played with his fingers as her glare intensified. She frowned then huffed and looked away from him with a pout etched on her face.
"M... Please, I'm sorry."
"Please only refer to me as Mirabelle. I'd appreciate it." Mira said curtly.
"Um... What is happening here?" Gael asked the duo.
Mira looked at him but avoided speaking on the topic. What if Elias did not want Gael to know he liked someone? As much upset as she was with him, she did not want to expose things he was not comfortable with.
But then Mira watched at Elias mouthed-
"Later."
-to Gael.
And that was that.
She gasped, offended.
"You- you're willing to tell him and not me? Who is this girl I can't know about?!" Mira asked, flabbergasted. Elias gulped with his pink cheeks similar to Mira's but for extremely different reasons.
"It's just... M-"
"M's dead to you." She huffed.
"I-"
"ALRIGHT ENOUGH! IT'S ARES BIRTHDAY AND ALL I WANT IS A NICE, CIVIL PARTY FOR HIM WHICH IS BY THE WAY SUPPOSED TO BE A SURPRISE BOZOS! SO CAN YOU BOTH FUCKING GROW UP AND ACT CIVIL WITH EACH OTHER FOR A LITTLE WHILE?! FOR OUR FRIEND?" Gael glared at Mira.
"Why are you looking at me?" Mira asked insulted.
"Please Mira, just today. Be mad at him tomorrow." Gael begged and she finally nodded. It was Ares' day and she did not want to ruin it for him.
"Okay. What's the plan?" She asked finally.
"Elias, go distract Ares. Be with him until we're both done with the food. I'll spy over you guys using my call. Once we're done, Mira will catch up with you both and pretend like she wants to call me too to hang out. And then, we surprise him. And, no fighting. Alright?" Gael asked and Mira glared at him nodding.
"Alright." Mira nodded.
"Goodbye M..." Elias said, she still ignored. Gael elbowed her lightly and she shrugged.
"I'll behave in front of Ares." Mira said walking inside.
Once Elias had left to go get Ares he started to grow nervous.
Ares' house all by himself? What if his dad objects.
Weirdly his fight with Mira was occupying his mind more. He felt terrible. And wanted to tell her. She was the first one he wanted to tell about anything of this sort but he couldn't. What if it ruins their friendship? Then what?
