"Kai we're here." Gael said once they reached. Kai dismissed them with a hand movement, without looking up from his book. He was still sitting on the tree in the corner of his training ground.
"She'll run." Gael warned. Mira glared at Gael as the ground started to rise up and wrap itself around her feet, causing her to stay rooted in one place. Gael and Elias then let go.
"Finally!" Gael said. He was desperate for his bed at this point. "Goodbye suckers." He said to Mira and Elias. Kai looked up from his book which caused Gael to shut up and leave.
"Never seen him this happy." Mira mumbled and Elias nodded.
"Goodbye Mira." Elias mumbled not making eye contact, but hugging her before taking his leave.
"Trouble." Kai said acknowledging her presence, before jumping down from the tree bark and keeping his book aside on the ground at the bottom.
"Hey you! The best teacher ever whom I love and appreciate so much. And the one who's known for having the most forgiving and kind nature out of all in the land of Aha-"
"Shut up." Kai said and then flickered his finger which caused a slightly warm air to hit Mira.
She did as told and stayed still as a layer of breeze started to prickle her skin.
She then tried to control her laughter. Any amount of happiness projecting off of her might get her in trouble.
"This is my punishment? Air?" Mira asked, slightly confused as Kai smirked and nodded at her lack of seriousness.
"Wait, that felt a bit warmer..." She mumbled and it got hotter as she did so.
"Does this progressively get hotter?!" She then stopped as the air now was immensely toasty. Then it stopped getting warmer.
"Huh! I can handle this temperature just fine- wait, did it just-" She gasped. It warmed up again. "Oh my God does it get warmer every time I spea-" Mira shut her mouth and glared at Kai as he sat down in front of her with a bowl of grapes.
Kai groaned mentally as he chewed one down. Mira stared blankly at him.
Fucker.
Mira glared as he enjoyed each grape.
"You know, these are the best fruits nature could offer. Nothing better than a bowl of fresh green grapes." Kai said with a forced smile as he swallowed two more. God did he hate grapes.
Who was he punishing more? Himself of Mira? Does not matter, this whole appeal seemed a lot better when he had played it out in his mind.
"I-" She shut up as the air got warmer. She groaned a little. Sweat trickled down her face. After ten more minutes of the aggravating warm bothersome air and Kai's enjoyment of the grapes, Mira could not take it anymore.
Her stomach growled as she blushed of embarrassment. Kai looked up at her and set his grapes aside and went inside the house with a slight smile lazily sitting on his face.
Mira then stared at the lonely grapes.
She tried to move forward to grab the grapes but the ground pushed them further away from her. Instead, she fell straight to her face.
"Aw, look at that. Did you try to steal my grapes trouble?" Kai's mock made her get back up immediately. Not entirely, the warm smell of ramen definitely helped. Mira had forgotten to eat lunch, the first thing she did after waking up was run to train. The quietest place she could think of was Ahana, other than Kai's place. Of course, there was a slight chance that the higher ups might be hanging out around there but from what she has heard, the war situation between Kitsuri and Moric had been escalating towards worse. The chiefs were busier monitoring the borders and the refugees.
